just got back from an 895 mile trip on the new dunlop roadsmart tires I got last week ,when those pathetic bridgestones only went 4,300 miles. didnt like my new fjr much,until I put these tires on it ran 42 psi front and rear,rides like a different bike,handles like its on rails,rode the hell...

this ought to get some real responses. has anyone ever tried to move the trunk foreward,with a modified bracket,so that it dosent stick up so high and so far back ? the fjr trunk is huge,would sacifice some of rear seat,but if you ride solo it dosent matter. should be some interesting posts...

had the same problem with stock bridgestone that came with new 09, ran 39 psi just like manual said,at 4,300 miles,had same raised ridge all the way around tire,dealer said it was do to low psi,now have roadsmarts with 42 psi front and rear. what a difference it made .I hated the way the fjr...

have an 09,with 4,300 miles on it. and when cleaning bike ,noticed, front tire was really getting cupped,big suprise.as i am anal about air pressure. manual says 36 psi in front and 42 psi in rear.bike felt squirlly ,got info on this site to increase front psi to 40 psi and that did the trick...

dont buy a bike because of gas mileage ! thats only a small part, have had an 1800cc vtx that I loved ,but with a small tank your always looking for gas. have 3,400 miles on an 09,and ride it like it was stolen and still get at least 40 mpg,look at price styling ,looks,ergos comfort, cargo...
