    Naked FJR

Hope this hasn't been talked to death (if so, links, please) but has anyone made an FJR into a naked bike, on purpose. I realize it would defeat all of the features of a sports/tourer but it would be a neat "beater" bike for short trips, etc. Just curious...thanks...bigjimbiker

    Throttle Miester

Hi Wee Willy, Like those grips. Do they roll on over the original or replace them? Thanks, bigjimbiker

    Throttle Miester

Hi Damon, I installed the TM on my 08 AE and had no problems. My model comes with heated grips which don't roll back as far as regular grips. The instructions were quite clear about this and you must trim about a 1/4" off the friction sleeve. Once this is done it's a matter of adjusting the...

    break-in procedure

I did the recommendation and at 4500 rpm in 5th you're doing over 80mph...nice and easy but you do get through the break-in in less time, eh? bigjimbiker

Hey Fellow !! ,,,,, I live in that county... I understand places ,, like Polk county ,, or Madison county ,,, but Licking county ..?? wonder where they came up with that? Easy, old&slow, I didn't mean to rub you the wrong way. After all, I did apologize...see last line of my post...

    First Long Ride Since 1972

Did a six hour round trip today and I hadn't been in the saddle that long since 1972...(reminds me of the old joke about the pilot who told the doctor he hadn't had sex since 1955...well, he added, it's only 2130 now!)...anyway, I'd done a cross country back then and have just got back into...

    The Suspense is Over

No Festus, I don't want to call you out. I just want you to say howdy to Miss Kitty for me. Now, as far as wise asses go...well, I assumed ALL members were and I'm just tryin' to fit in...happy trails. :yahoo:

    The Suspense is Over

Okay Mike, I have noticed your unique avatar on several other posts and I make the following observation: Hey, it's like the great Babe Ruth said, "It ain't braggin' if you can do it!" and that's why you do it, cause you can! You're my hero. :clapping:

Polk County! I always thought it was known as "Poke" County down on Wrecker Highway. You know you're the ones who ruined the Sirenians for us. They're like goats, the run away when they hear a zipper. By the way, one look at your picture and everyone knows the "curve" is flatlined...do they...

    The Suspense is Over

Maybe they should come with sliders already installed...but that would probably be a $300.00 option.

    The Suspense is Over

Okay...let me rephrase that..."What did they tell you it was when you purchased it at Monty Python's Pet Shop?"

    The Suspense is Over

Yeah, maybe I'll take her down to "Bubba's Mud Ranch" in Auburndale and have some real fun... By-the-way, what's your cat on? Crystal meths or crack?

Great idea, madjackdog (that name sounds made up)...I'll remove the one on the left side.

Ohio cop busted doing 150mph on motorcycle

Licking County Municipal Judge W. David Branstool fined Thomas the maximum $150 and suspended Thomas' driver's license for six months, citing the reckless nature of the crime. Seems harsh after he "licked" the county judge. And speaking of that...Branstool??? Isn't that what you get after...

    The Suspense is Over

The suspense is over...I dropped my new bike in the garage and scratched it. (note to self, "triple check that damn side stand and as soon as it's set, jump off and engage the center stand!") And, get this, Murphy's Law prevails-the very sliders that were to protect the new bike were on the...

AE paddle shifter button bypass...the thing that keeps your button green

I've seen articles about the problem and what I've started doing is parking the beast in neutral. Not only is it easier to get it on the center stand, you also avoid those embarrassing moments when you park it in first, crank it up, proceed with caution, and then have people wonder why the hell...
