For BC, I rode it to the border. I already had it cleared with the US export office, so that took 5 minutes. Then on the Canadian side I paid the GST. I rode it the rest of the way home. Then the next day I went and did the Canadian Tire Inspection, that took 15 -20 minutes, they just went out...

I do not know about other provinces, but ICBC will sell you temp insurance to ride it home, I have done it twice.

OK, then I would be choked! 4K to failure is not good....FWIW I suffered much waste of time and money before concluding I needed a $1000 shock :o Still don't have it yet, but that is where I am heading.

Perhaps it was mentioned elsewhere- I am new here, and lazy , too - but how many miles on the shock? They don't last forever ya know :unsure: Apart from the failure mechanism in your case, does the fluid not break down over time (OEM or aftermarket) necessitating a rebuild? PS forget...
