Both headlights, at the same time?!

I did not know that and I too have the Addmore tail light. I can unplug it to see if it does anything but seems odd they tail light could pull voltage from the headlights. We shall see.

Both headlights, at the same time?!

I have not figured it out and am about to just bite the $170 bullet and take it in to be 'diagnosed' at a dealer. :(

Any local FJR-geniuses (DFW area) that might help with these damn headlights?!

Just hoping there are some local to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area FJR enthusiasts who are also electrical geniuses! Talking to the two dealers who sell and presumably work on Yamahas, one in Irving said $150 to trouble shoot but if they had to remove plastic, would charge more. Really? How can you...

Both headlights, at the same time?!

Yeah, just heard the US weather service heat advisory for north Texas for the next 3 1/2 days. Supposed to be 104 today with an index (feels like) 110+. Woohoo! Let's go ride!

Both headlights, at the same time?!

For the driving lights, there was a loose white wire that had pulled out of the fuse block. Took a little playing around and had to enlist the help of my wife to watch while I was leaning over the under seat and touching the wire to different locations. Pretty quickly found out it needed power...

OK, got the driving lights fixed. Now onto the rest...

Both headlights, at the same time?!

Need to pull some plastic off to see. But after I bought the 2019, I added the fuse block and lights. Everything worked fine up until just recently so not really sure what the last thing was, except I did add the brake LED tai light bar. That was plugged into the harness the bike uses with a...

Both headlights, at the same time?!

Not yet, working that is. I did make a call to where I have bought Yamahas before over in Dallas. Their service guy told me their trouble shooting fee to 'look it over' was $149.95 and if they then had to remove any plastic, they would need to charge more. Needless to say, that I why I am asking...

Both headlights, at the same time?!

I can't imagine a cut wire but yeah I thought they were LED as well. Might have to ride in to my not so local Yamaha dealer for some troubleshooting. Damn. And I just looked and do not see a bulb...

Both headlights, at the same time?!

Yeah, we tried it various ways but nothing. The high beam blue light shows on the dash however.

Both headlights, at the same time?!

Got the fun envelope from the Texas DMV the other day, asking for another annual donation. Considering the heat (101+), didn't want to ride too far today. The only Yamaha dealers near me are 15-20 miles east or west but there is another motorcycle dealer within the same zip code and I have used...

FJRForum Official 2023 Iron Butt Rally Tracking/Analysis Thread

After looking over the bonus leg document, I am amazed at all the research that went into this one. Good lord, who knew there was such a thing as a camel dairy?!

So true. Your post reminds me of a conversation I had with two fellows at work many years ago. They knew I rode since I did a couple of times a week (ST1100 and later ST1300). They were telling me about their great adventure with other HD riders the previous weekend. One of them told me they met...

Fascinating to read the reports and especially funny to see the transcriptions of call-ins. Whew.

Oh come on! As a male, you are entitled to some 'blind assumptions' now and then!

Hi there. New to the Forum

That looks like some serious lighting there friend! Excellent. And I am unaware of any control changes between models.

Hi there. New to the Forum

Personally, I don't care which way, since I always add driving lights and angle the right side one slightly to the right to cover the shoulder!

    Lowering links -LUST Racing

Good point, forgot about the 2x4, which I also used to get the bike onto the center stand. On my current one, T-Rex also sells an adjustable center stand which makes the block of wood unnecessary.

    Lowering links -LUST Racing

I still think the adjustable ones are far better. For my (briefly owned) 900GT, I could only find the solid links, which dropped an inch or so. Wasn't enough for me. When I sold it, I gave the originals to the buyer since he was taller...
