And I got the Admore light bar installed after help from here (and Admore support). Looks awesome!

Where did you route the connecting wire through, from the Admore light bar? And I have yet to locate the correct wiring harness to plug into, in the tail!

    Greetings from Liverpool U.K.

Hey, there are a couple of other FJR riders out in the mid cities. Want to join us for a breakfast ride some weekend? Maybe join a group down in the Hill country soon?

Interesting. I had not heard of them before. Looks like it would be a good addition, thanks.

    Headlight Modulator suggestions

My question is, does anyone know of a brake light modulator like Backoff, made specifically for our FJRs? Mine is a 2019 and I was unable to find a plug and play version. Years ago, you had to splice into the taillight wires for a unit that would convert your rear turn signals lights into full...

Engine cutoff at 70+ mph is just marginally frightening

Realized I never fully answered this one. Finally took all the plastic off and noticed the threaded nut under the positive side was just gone. I must have never tightened it up enough and in riding, it just decided to take a leap. Funny story, called a local Harley dealer near my home and asked...

    Best tires?

It would seem pretty unlikely tires were sent as a signature required delivery. Most of those types of shipments are for quite expensive electronics, for example, over $500. Hopefully two bike tires are not quite that high (yet)! Having said that, we also have an RV and when I bought tires for...

    Hill country FJR ride

Hey dude, think you have the wrong forum for that type of conversation. This is about Yamaha FJRs, riding the Hill Country or even what kind of tires or oil we use. Seriously.

    Hill country FJR ride

Looking at March or early April in Bandera. Hopefully the Bunkhouse on Main is available, though it is small with only 5 rooms. The Best West down the street is well over $200 a night, exorbitant for such a small town, IMO. The River Oak Inn a little further down (and has lots of rooms) is also...

Do you all get “challenged” at stop lights?

It is probably that faux hawk on your helmet that does it!!

    Hello my brethren

Why not spread the wealth, er, weight around? 10 pounds up top and ten each in side bags?

If you couldn't have an FJR what would be the next best thing?

Interesting, I replaced my previous 2015 FJR with a Tracer two years ago around the start of Covid. Hardly rode it at all, partially because I was not commuting a day or two a week to work (round trip around 55 miles) but also because I just did not like the ride. Many reasons but I ended up...

Going to be a white Christmas.

73F and fair today in north Texas. A little muggy but otherwise nice riding weather, which is weird since a week or so back it was in the upper 30's. I have told people new to Texas before that we typically have two seasons here, summer and January.

    FJR Age Limit

Hey, just saw you were in Mesquite. Have you tried Freedom Powersports in Hurst or Lewisville or maybe Lone Star Yamaha in Irving?

    Loosely connected positive. You win!

Do you need a little more HEIGHT for your shoes?

Why don't you just add a lowering kit? T-Rex sells them, as does Soupy's, though they are more expensive. The ones from T-Rex can lower up to 2 inches. I dropped mine about an inch and a half and also have a 30" inseam. Now I can flat foot at stops. Much safer feeling I have to say
