Fuse block from Japan, Eastern Beaver PC-8 install

Got it uploaded to You Tube if anyone wants to see. It is a little over 8 minutes in total.

Fuse block from Japan, Eastern Beaver PC-8 install

I have spent the past couple of weekends taking my 'new' 2019 apart or at least uncovering so I could get to the battery and appropriate locations to wire in a new power center, PC-8 from a company based in Japan called Eastern Beaver. They sell fuse blocks, wiring harnesses that are...

Same here. How about next Saturday, 1OCT? There is a cafe in NRH called Bacon's Bistro & Cafe. Never been but the menu looked good. They are located: 714 Grapevine Hwy, Hurst, TX 76054 (also known as Highway 26).

    Could be Epic

Looks like an Ibis, maybe. I'm no avian biologist!

Ha, Bedford here. We should see if there are any other FJRs around and meet for lunch some time...

    Tracer 9 back to FJR

I test rode a Versys previously and did not like the geometry.

I do already, and it is now my 3rd FJR! Where all did you go in Texas? I ride out to the Ft. Davia area, visit McDonald Observatory and swing down thru Big Bend. And of course, the Hill Country is great too. Also like riding up in your part of the country. Been up there just in August, Gunnison.

    Tracer 9 back to FJR

Similar story. I bought a Tracer 900GT and just a couple of weeks ago, sold it and went back to an FJR, 2019, from STL. Flew up and rode it back home to the Dallas area, 710 miles. So much nicer of a ride.

Wait, another DFW area FJR rider?!?! Out in Bedford here. Where are you and Trailrider57 located?

    Aerostich Pop-up in California

I went to one several years ago in Austin Texas and got perfectly fitted for a new Roadcrafter. It was much better than trying to figure out how to measure myself at home.

Whoops, a 'new' 2019 just added to the stable

Thanks all. Ready for some more long distance rides!

Whoops, a 'new' 2019 just added to the stable

Likely should have done this sooner, but I am now back on an FJR after a two year digression to a Tracer 900GT. Sold to a rider new to street bikes from Colorado and flew up the next day to Donelson's Cycles in St. Ann, next door to St. Louis and rode back 710 miles to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area...

    Thousand mile day.

Totally agree. I can recall a 24 hour Ride Around Texas one year, at a little over 1000 miles and I was talking to myself, trying to stay awake at the 23rd hour or so, heading back into Fredericksburg!

    Thousand mile day.

Oh man, a Vespa?!?! You are far more ambitious than I. But I suspect it will be slightly easier on your FJR now. Good luck.

    Thousand mile day.

Correct. Still a lot of miles!

    Thousand mile day.

True. There are different levels of achievement with the IBA. A 'Saddlesore' is the 1000 in 24 hours ride. A 'BunBurner' is 1500 in one day. Done many of the Saddlesore ride but not sure I am (still) up for 1500! However, I completely agree that the FJR1300 is a fine machine for any of the...

"New" 2019 FJR1300A, from St. Louis (to Texas)

And thanks for reminding me, I meant to point out that it does connect directly to the original Yamaha rear plate. Hopefully the pix show that.

    Thousand mile day.

Oh man, it ain't the piece of paper! It is the fancy license plate tag that goes under your plate stating, "Iron Butt Association, World's Toughest Motorcyclists"!
  20. keithq

    Thousand mile day.

If you want to join the IBA (Iron Butt Association) you need to do a documented 1000 in 24 hours. I have done a few and there are various methods to try. Just get up really early and keep riding! That is one way. Stopping only if you can do all 3 things at once: get gas, get food/drink and hit...
