    2004 FJR Still running hard

My '04 still running strong; bought new with hardly ever a problem. Not high miles (but high smiles; just over 40,000) and that's the way I like it. (y):)

    Who makes cleanest motobike engines

Interesting 'food' for thought; might it also be interesting to evaluate oil from #2 oil change (after getting the initial 'crap' out.

New Cannonball Run record - on FJR1300

I saw it mentioned that he rode from Dallas to New York before starting his run; if he didn't put on fresh tires, there's that.

High mileage 2016 FJR for sale

Before I saw your quoted price, I was thinking around 7500 for a five year old, high mileage bike.  Maybe a little more if condition warranted it.

    KrZy8 Hissy Fit - Stumbling/Dying off Idle,

Lift tank, fire her up in the dark and look for arching; bad wire maybe.  Just a WAG.

    Orange Threadlocker?

This would be good for places that aren't high heat tolerable (needed sometimes for removal of 'red') but still want extra retention strength.

Idiots guide to riding deals gap.

It appears to me that this guy is going too fast for his skill-set.  (and if it were me, riding as poorly as I perceive him to be riding, and then crashing; I wouldn't post my inadequacies)

    Steering Fall Away

The profile of the tires can also affect how a bike turns in.

    Battery Problem?

I also concur, check the terminals first.  And how do you ride, are you getting the battery recharged; short trips are hard on a battery.  It may be a weak battery or an undercharged one.

    Collecting a Gen I today

Best of luck with your new ride; it's a beautiful thing.

Are tires getting more difficult to remove and mount ?

Just completed tire change from Pilot Road 2 to Road 5 with the Mojo lever (and the Mojostand). Keeping tire in the wheel well, and using proper amount of tire lube (I used Baltistol 50/50 with water) and noticed no real difference since last change (possibly a little easier as I gained...

    Battery Of Choice

Ross, if you're planning on keeping your '07 for a while, I'd change it out for peace of mind (you still have bragging rights that your battery lasted as long as it did).

    '13 high Frequency Vibration

What do your tires look like; cupping, scalloped, old and hard?

    The Hog Phenomenon

Metaphorically speaking now, if a "p" were replaced with an "n" (in said thread's initiator name), wouldn't that pretty much sum up some of the banter. No offense intended (well maybe a little).

    The Hog Phenomenon

I don't know what you are 'taking' or 'are on' but in my personal opinion you should stop immediately.

    Spring Maintenance

I think I would have put your baby to bed (before the winter hiatus) with that oil change.

    Tire recommendations

Just replaced my PR2's with Road 5's (very nice tire so far; I weigh 180 and ride solo so I don't anticipate any problem not waiting for the 5 GT's). I did my own mounting and balancing so no help with that but depending on whether you just drop off your bike and say change tires or bring your...

    Road 5 GT news

Wanted the '5's' GT, waited and waited; since I ride 1 up all the time, bought the regular road 5's. I am good with my choice and they should arrive this week.

BMW s1000xr ridden to the max

I used to race motocross many, many moons ago so I could control a bike pretty well. Well, this was of the kind of guy, that when I was running as fast as I could, was getting lapped (by). Ha!

Let's see what jacket you're using.

Joe Rocket mesh with liner; wear summer and winter (Charleston, S.C.). With layers, good to the lower thirties.
