My '04 still running strong; bought new with hardly ever a problem. Not high miles (but high smiles; just over 40,000) and that's the way I like it. (y):)
It appears to me that this guy is going too fast for his skill-set. (and if it were me, riding as poorly as I perceive him to be riding, and then crashing; I wouldn't post my inadequacies)
I also concur, check the terminals first. And how do you ride, are you getting the battery recharged; short trips are hard on a battery. It may be a weak battery or an undercharged one.
Just completed tire change from Pilot Road 2 to Road 5 with the Mojo lever (and the Mojostand). Keeping tire in the wheel well, and using proper amount of tire lube (I used Baltistol 50/50 with water) and noticed no real difference since last change (possibly a little easier as I gained...

Wanted the '5's' GT, waited and waited; since I ride 1 up all the time, bought the regular road 5's. I am good with my choice and they should arrive this week.
I used to race motocross many, many moons ago so I could control a bike pretty well. Well, this was of the kind of guy, that when I was running as fast as I could, was getting lapped (by). Ha!
