    FOBO T-Stem install woes

I've installed 4 of these unit and don't remember having any trouble.  As I recall it looked a lot like those pictures, Don.  I may have put a little tire mounting lube on the RG1 to help insertion. I love my FOBO setup. Good stuff.

For Sale:  two FJR1300A relay Arms with grease fittings installed for the pivot (frame mount location) and dog bone bearings. 2019 Covered Bridges of New Hampshire Tour - Oct 5th

This date isn't looking good on my calendar currently, but hey thats my birthday and maybe I can get the day re-prioritized.  Fingers crossed.

    Relay arm bearing time.

Aluminum expands more per degree of heat rise than steel shrinks during cooling (same temp gradient) I found that warming the relay arm prior to pressing in the bearings was helpful. Wear gloves.

    2019 A tomorrow

Best of luck with that, Dan. Work on safe parking methods. When you get up to Heli, tell Harry I said hi. (he still running it? I thought he was considering retiring). Hell of a nice operation he has there.

    Purolator L14610 - dont buy

You can send me those filters that don't work. Or you can trim the flange on your union bolt so the filters will work on your bike.

Are tires getting more difficult to remove and mount ?

I mounted a couple RS3's this weekend. About the same level of difficulty as Bridgestones. Surely a little tougher than Michelins. I use a generous amount of tire paste on the wheel (including the valley) and the tire beads.

ear buds or in helmet bluetooth

S-plugs for me. Best combination of wind noise protection and good sound quality with my Sena system. And Skooter, any helmet speaker is gonna interfere with those ears.

    Gen 1 Rear shock interchange

If the relay arm hasn't been off this bike before, you'll be investing some time doing this service. If you determine that the sleeves or bushings need replacements, take a good look at the corresponding bearings. They likely are needing replacement too. And replace the seals too. Cheap...

    Gen 1 Rear shock interchange

I found a slightly used shock from a 2013 that I put on my 2005. Noticeable improvement. I think I paid under$300 for it.

What did you do to your FJR today?

Did the ABS module exercise service. Hardest part is getting at the connector up there in front off the battery. Next up is servicing the shift and brake pivots and the relay arm bearings. Spring is coming - want to be ready.

    My Motorcycle Accident

First of all, glad you're OK. As usual, it coulda been worse. Secondly, thanks for sharing this experience. We can all learn from it. I have a LED light controller module that currently resides under the top triple tree, loosely restrained by several cables, brake lines and such. It is not...

1" ram ball mount for cell phone

I used the RAM X-Grip setup for a few years and had only one time the phone slipped out of the grips. Because one of the rubber caps got loose. Phone was saved by the cord I had tethering it to the bike. I did that because I was never 100% confident in the X-Grip. Last year I upgraded to a...

    Earplugs: just me?

I've been half following this thread this year and didn't (yet) see any mention of the S-Plug in ear speaker. After years of using foam disposable (Max Leight 33) preceded by years of no protection, I bought my first Sena helmet setup. I was so disappointed with the helmet speakers I set out...
