Gave it a bath this weekend to clean off the grunge collected on my 9800 mile cross country trip in Sept. Then rode it to work.

Mounted up the rear PR4 last night. Took way less weight to balance than the front (13gr vs. 35 for the front). Also pinned the lower side case mounting flanges to the stays. Just in case.

Put on a new PR4GT up front and changed the oil. Getting ready for my Sept crosscountry adventure. I'll mount the new PR4 rear a couple days before I leave. Why are Michelins so much easier to mount than Bridgestones?

I've never met TWN but I sure remember his presence here many years back. I'll raise a glass tonight in his honor.

I made a bracket to move my windshield about 1" up and 1" away from the fairing. I may be imagining it, but I think this reduces some mild buffeting I was experiencing at highway speeds. More testing required this weekend in the White Mountains of NH and western Maine.

I expect to be coming through the Tennessee, Kentucky, maybe SE Ohio region at the tail end of a cross country adventure in late September. I expect that I will be very close to needed a rear tire by then and would like to have a little local knowledge for reputable tire sellers/installers...

What caught my interest with the Vemar review was the long oval shape. I have a Shoei RF1200 that fits wonderfully. The same size Neotec is just slightly tighter front to back. I could probably Dremel out a bit of the rigid padding and make it OK but.... Also the Neotecs on closeout are very...

Saw a mostly favorable review of the Vemar Sharki modular helmet on WebBikeWorld recently. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with it. Mostly concerning fit & shape (as compared to a Shoei 1200 for example) and noise level and if a Sena helmet clamp works. I know, lots to ask...

Asking for a friend who's FJR is collecting dust since his froze up. Doesn't want to pay the $1500 + labor that the dealer shop wants. Anybody got one laying around? I checked Ebay. No bargains there. Thx
