    Beautiful, like my 1998 Concours.

What did you do to your FJR today?

Gave it a bath this weekend to clean off the grunge collected on my 9800 mile cross country trip in Sept. Then rode it to work.

What did you do to your FJR today?

Mounted up the rear PR4 last night. Took way less weight to balance than the front (13gr vs. 35 for the front). Also pinned the lower side case mounting flanges to the stays. Just in case.

What did you do to your FJR today?

Put on a new PR4GT up front and changed the oil. Getting ready for my Sept crosscountry adventure. I'll mount the new PR4 rear a couple days before I leave. Why are Michelins so much easier to mount than Bridgestones?

    TWN's 10th Anniversary

I've never met TWN but I sure remember his presence here many years back. I'll raise a glass tonight in his honor.

I'll be keeping a close eye on this situation. I'll be heading into the western states in a couple weeks.

The Dunlop Roadsmart III compared to Michelin PR2/PR4GT Dilemma

I'm getting ready for a 30 day, 11,000 mile cross country ride. I have a new set of PR4-GTs in the garage that I'll mount up a few days before I leave. My goal is to not have to change tires during my trip. We'll see... I have got 10,000 out of a PR2 before so hopefully the PR4 is slightly...

Snake oil. Sometimes the old fashioned way is best.

Cardo Packtalk Bold - Testing in progress!

Interested in how the sound quality of the speakers are compared to the Sena 10 system.

Took a shot at modeling a FJR keyring - First print attempt turned out alright

I think your modeling skills are well beyond 'limited'. That keychain looks great.

What did you do to your FJR today?

I made a bracket to move my windshield about 1" up and 1" away from the fairing. I may be imagining it, but I think this reduces some mild buffeting I was experiencing at highway speeds. More testing required this weekend in the White Mountains of NH and western Maine.

Tire Shop Recommendation, TN, KY, OH

Thanks everyone for the info and generous offers to help. I'll be writing this all down in my little travel notebook. Nice to have that confidence.

Tire Shop Recommendation, TN, KY, OH

I expect to be coming through the Tennessee, Kentucky, maybe SE Ohio region at the tail end of a cross country adventure in late September. I expect that I will be very close to needed a rear tire by then and would like to have a little local knowledge for reputable tire sellers/installers...

    September Planning

That sounds like a great September and somewhat similar to the one I'm planning. I leave MA on 9/1 heading west to Rapid City SD, (approx 9/4), then across northern WY to Chief Joseph and Beartooth Pass, then western MT, north to south in ID (through Stanley), west to norcal andLake Tahoe...

    Vemar Sharki Helmet Review

What caught my interest with the Vemar review was the long oval shape. I have a Shoei RF1200 that fits wonderfully. The same size Neotec is just slightly tighter front to back. I could probably Dremel out a bit of the rigid padding and make it OK but.... Also the Neotecs on closeout are very...

    Vemar Sharki Helmet Review

Saw a mostly favorable review of the Vemar Sharki modular helmet on WebBikeWorld recently. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with it. Mostly concerning fit & shape (as compared to a Shoei 1200 for example) and noise level and if a Sena helmet clamp works. I know, lots to ask...

ABS Hydraulic Unit for 2006 FJR

Asking for a friend who's FJR is collecting dust since his froze up. Doesn't want to pay the $1500 + labor that the dealer shop wants. Anybody got one laying around? I checked Ebay. No bargains there. Thx

A new Senior Design project for me

Gary, This looks like an excellent project. I can't wait to see how it develops. If you're the chief engineer, builder and tuner, I know it will turn out awesome. And I predict you'll have a blast doing it. Best of luck!
