    Gaspe

The wife and I went to Old Quebec City for a couple of days, very nice, and then started around the Gaspe in August a couple years ago. It was 45*F and raining and we were totally not prepared for that. We had to turn back after one day, we were frozen. Pretty dissapointing. Just be prepared...

The Really, Definitely Completely Un-Authorized TBS

Here is my twisted understanding: I think your original posting is correct, exept for some words that I didn't even understand. (vivo?) Except, when you sync the throttle plates at 4 or 5K you are not syncing the plates. You are matching the inidvidual intake runner's vacuum. And this is what...

    Most recent FJR reshodding adventure

I always keep a set of tires on hand. When I mount them I order a new set right away. This way if anyone traveling through the area gets in a jam I have something for them via the FJR assist list.

    Escort 8500 Question

I just installed an 8500 and used the Escort motorcycle adapter to connect it to the Audiovox, which is a ground loop isolator audio cable. It worked for one day and quit. Seems the adaptor cable is FUBARed. Has anyone else used this cable sucessfully? Did I just get a bad one? Thanks in advance.

    Front wheel tremoval Gen 2

I have never used the internal allen on the end of either axle, never. To remove just loosen the big axle bolt first. To tighten I have always just tightened the axle bolt and the axle never turns, for some reason. Just make sure the pinch bolts get tightenend last as mentioned.

06 Stalls when put in gear

Just wanted to post a follow up to the side stand dilema to close the loop. Took about 2 weeks for the fuel pump/sidestand circuit relay to come, yesterday. I installed it this morning and unplugged the work around wire at the ECU. It works as advertised. But why did this happen to begin with...

    2009 2nd to 3rd gear issue

I also was going to mention the non returning shift lever but that has been covered pretty well. If you look at the shift lever you will see it goes behind part of the frame on the aft end. Right at that point there is a raised mark in the middle of the shift lever, and 2 corresponding raised...

ZUMO 550 won't charge on cycle mount

I had the same problem. A week of riding in the rain did it in. Inside the cradle there is a ribbon connector between the multi pin connector and the circuit board. Water gets on the ribon and shorts out the thin gold power leads right near the end where it is attached to the circuit board...

06 Stalls when put in gear

wfooshee, I can not thank you enough! I came home last night and was going to install the bypass and start puttting the bike together. I got all wrapped around the axle with those diodes and the circuit through the switch got me confused. So I could not figure out what wire to jumper, and was...

06 Stalls when put in gear

Now that diagram I can read and understand! That's nice. No I didn't disconnect the battery, nor do I shut off power when doing house wiring. I just figure the jolts and resulting eye twitching are part of the job. Myself, ( and many others) don't understand why I am the way I am, but I am, so...
