    Headlight fuse

Have you looked in your owner's manual? If you don't have one a pdf can be downloaded for free from here -> https://library.ymcapps.net/library/om/app/index.html?baseCode=6150&langId=02

Coolant Temp sensor wire interfering with air box?

That's exactly how my '07 has been since 2007.

    Tire sealant? Roadside flat fix

Have you considered an air compressor? I knew a guy once who could slow down a leak but not completely stop it. He ran out of cartridges before he could get back to civilization. Slowing-but-not-stopping a leak happened to me once too but luckily I was properly prepared. I use AMA towing...

    FJR Aux Lights

Have you found that the mirrors vibrate out of place? IIRC there's a 3-ball and detent setup there that you've defeated by inserting the aluminium plate. I use bb's in place of the balls when they fell out yrs ago upon disassembly. Or did you defeat the mirror swivel feature altogether by...

Valve check/Valve adjustment in Dallas-Ft. Worth

You'll need the equipment and app for OBDII connecting. A quick search of "OBD" yields numerous results.

    Should black hex box remain?

Yeah, didn't think of "foreign" models. Apologies Gene.

    Should black hex box remain?

Actually, it sort of does. Every single picture in the owners manual shows the box, even when the power is obviously off.

    Going to See the Eclipse?

Cheapo-o replacement welding helmet lens shade 8-10 works wonderfully. Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.

    Anyone use tank bags?

Nope, hate them! To me they always seem to be in the way. But note, I am definitely in the minority. Since I ride 100% solo I use a Corbin Smuggler to replace the rear seat.

    Purchasing new '23 questions

When getting what you believe to be a good deal certainly don't walk away. I don't think anyone is suggesting you do that. But me, I also wouldn't walk away from what I'm paying for regardless of what the dealer says. If the bags and 3rd lock are supposed to be included (as they always have...

    Tennessee Owners

Newer folks often fall into this trap- wanting & waiting for someone to meetup and ride with. If you're waiting on someone else you're wasting your time. Plan your rides, post them up to invite everyone and get out there even if it's by yourself. Some will come, some can't this time but will...

Final Drive Oil Change, Do This

It may be because you are generally in a much dryer environment than I am. I've found the u-joint itself to be bullet proof but over here in the humid southeast, riding in the rain often can rust the u-joint onto the transmission output shaft. My '07 had that problem. I've found a clean and...

    Purchasing new '23 questions

Depends on where the OP is, which he doesn't state. That's why there's always such a variety of answers. In this case it does make a difference.

Good on you for making the difficult decision before it was too late. Be careful out there!

    Won't start in gear

At the very least just new switches. I know that a spritz of whatever is a good temporary solution to get by but isn't good enough for me to not stress over the long term. They're not all that hard to replace.

    Going to the Dark Side

I used 3 different CTs. IMHO the GMAX did great on pavement, not so much on dirt. The Exalto did better on dirt but not as good on pavement. The Raptor, for my money, is the best all-round of the 3. Order the Raptor, seriously, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

    More luggage options

It's worked well for me over the yrs. Taller works better I think tho if it had a bigger storage area it wouldn't be a problem. As I mentioned, I'm not a big guy and with the bag all the way back against the topcase, I have to be riding no-handed to be able to lean on it. One of the best...
