Some Lighthouse in RI and CT

Nice! I've planned trips around lighthouse & lightship peeping and fresh seafood. https://www.fjrowners.com/threads/mid-october-md-lighthouse-peeping.144115/

    Scraping Highway Pegs

Funny guy, haha ;) My point was I couldn't get them to stay up. Same as the PO mounted on engine guard on the '13 I bought. When I finally got them to stay up I couldn't get them released with my foot to go down.

    Scraping Highway Pegs

I removed my highway pegs. As much as I liked them, I couldn't find a way to keep them up when not in use and still have them easy to put down when I wanted them.

    Universal joint service

He ain't all that, make sure you turn the volume all the way down. Dude rambles too much for me. And be careful, at least one other person broke his frame supporting his bike in such a ****** way.

    Universal joint service

The u-joint bearings are non-serviceable unless you disassemble. If you're going to do that you may as well replace them. This is what it looks like -> https://www.fjrowners.com/threads/universal-joint-service.153569/ . I don't think I've ever seen a replacement set of bearings detailed.

Parts Wanted Could use a set of Gen 2 wheels...

I have a spare 2007 rear wheel, no tire mounted. Been sitting unused for a couple years. I used it for car tires for 7 or 8 yrs. $300 plus actual shipping. Sorry, no spare front here.

    Seat options

When you're a hunnert lbs less the stock seat is comfortable as hell!

    Sidewall leak

I've had do this a couple times, always with front tires.

    Seat options

I bought 2 Russell seats. Hated them. I prefer Yamaha Comfort and Sargent seats. I was also perfectly fine with the stock seat. I also rode on a Corbin for many miles. Everyone's butt comfort is different. Spend your $$, take your chances.

LED Headlight Bulbs 💡 Gen 2 FJR

On my Gen3 2013 I tried several different bulbs and wasn't satisfied. To me the low beam always needed to come up and the high beam always needed to go down. This is important to me- as a night worker about 40% of my seat time is in the dark. Most folks never notice but the Gen 3 reflectors...

    Is this a TPS problem?

Exactly! Time and again owners have insisted there's nothing wrong with the TPS only to find out that replacing it solved the problem.

To be quiet as possible, disregard this thread.

    Trooper Mod

I did the Trooper mode with the accessory tailcones, remember those? Rode that way for a very long time. Still have them.

    Sold HeliBars Risers

Not at all. I was good with the stock seat for multiple back-to-back 400 mile days, rode at least 60K miles with it. After that I used a Corbin for many miles. Then in 2019 I had my left hips replaced and things changed so I went searching. On my '07 I use a Yammy Comfort seat. It's a lot...

    Sold HeliBars Risers

Don't beat yourself up too much. I bought 2 RDL seats, hated them and sold them. My boney butt isn't shaped right for them.
