**IGGY is that Rick Martin's FJR that the gun toting foreigner is on???? If so, it's the fastest FJR I've been on, -including my two. If that's rick's bike .....it holds the record from Gerlach to Empire.

No mention that it's required, but there are unique instructions and judging by rider participation it likely is worth decent points "Park in the nearby visitor parking lot and have your Rider Number recorded by IBR staff not later than 5:15 pm in front of the site. Be in the group picture...

FYI I put a simple .GPX file on the countdown page for anyone to download. HERE May add more functionality to the interactive map and other stuff to the GPX file. Currently GPX file is based on data in the bonus listing (which grommet masterfully stripped out). Ditto on interactive map.

Generically speaking. CA'ish to Kingsport ..lets say 2,500miles as i write this 48hours until penalty ...Hmmmmm factor in mandatory rest bonuses fuel stops etc ..... Hmmmmm+ We also know a few riders are not on the everyone page ...could there be others in CA? ...Hmmmmmm++

My thoughts exaclty and *IF* parks can be accumulated multiple times (one time per leg) then this thing gets magical in the scenarios and makes gathering states early very important (more so than parks).**Imagine leaving CP2 with all your states ...and the finish in AQ (central US +/-) ...that...

Yep, fascinating puzzle.Also note that many riders got out early this morning ...I'm confident many had been working on their route during their first leg and at the CP before even knowing point values ....they could come up with scenarios based on states and parks ...and then fine-tune once...

There is more in play here than points, there are also qty-states and qty-natParks. Which makes efficiency stats kinda interesting, (+anal+silly) ....so I'm in. ....I'll work it up for each and sort by each. It may be more interesting after leg 2
