    Grand Tour of Texas 2020

I finished it on Sunday, with a 3 day, 15 stop, 1629 mile swoop up to Amarillo, down through Midland/Odessa, Big Bend and home. 5612 miles altogether, and the only time I left the state was when I drove around the Texarkana post office...

    Grand Tour of Texas 2020

Anyone else doing this? Clicky I've got it mapped out in .gpx format, and have three spots knocked out so far.

    Smokers (BBQ - not grilling)

Bought my RT-700 a couple of months ago, after looking into add-ons to my Weber Smoky Mountain, in order to keep the temp consistent for long smokes, with out having to f=f around with it. Honestly, I wish I had done it sooner.

Texas is big - So let's travel to Meet Up for a group ride

I shot you back a reply to your PM; I get cut open for a right rotator cuff repair on 2/5, so will have my throttle hand in a sling when you come up, and for 6 weeks...

    blown officiating call

1975, Cowboys vs. Vikings, Divisional round, Drew Pearson pushed off Nate Wright, to catch the first ever Hail Mary pass for a game winning TD. And for the record, I loved the non call Sunday. Karma from the '09 NFC Championship game.

Texas is big - So let's travel to Meet Up for a group ride

Russ, I'm just north of Austin, in Leander, and you sound like my clone. 58, with an '07A and a '16 Honda GW F6B in the garage. I do 1-2 multi-state rides annually, and sometimes use my solo Kendon to get out of the state. My interest in camping is zero, did enough of that for the Army. I second...

No more Zumo 660, no more Garmin

My experience with Garmin was the same; the "+" button finally ripped off, and they sent me a refurb unit, at least 4-5 years after my unit was out of warranty. The 550 still works fine, and I picked up a 595, scoring a very nice discount from Garmin, IIRC 30% off.

    07 FJR for sale

I think your price is fine, but probably too early in the season for where you are located. I just looked at Cycle Trader, and you are very competitive with that price. If you don't need the money right now, ride it out.

New 2018 Goldwing @ Everett Powersports, Everett Wa.

I have an '07A FJR and a '16 F6B Goldwing. Guess which one stayed home on my two long trips last year? The Wing....

    07 FJR for sale

GLWS, bummer about the health issues. I have an '07A in the garage, and love it.

    Gold Wing update....any news?

Meh. The backend looks boxy, compared to my '16 F6B. Some cool new features, but i bought mine brand new for $7K less than they are asking for the '18, and the new features aren't worth that, at least to me. My Feejer is my long range bike, and the B works well for local and medium rides, (in...

    A new Valkyrie

No info on how to do it?

    A new Valkyrie

I've noticed that, too. it actually makes my '07A, notorious for jerky throttle, seem smooth in comparison. Is it an easy fix?

    2018 FJR Details Released

My 2016 Honda F6B, right down the road from you, in Leander, is matte white, and I love it. I use Dr. Beasley's products for matte finishes, and it looks great!

    Gold Wing update....any news?

I bought the slimmed down B this year, and it's a nice switch.

    Best Adhesive for Sidecase Protector

Well, that's easy enough to pick up, at the local Autozone. I had the Permatex ordered at Amazon, but cancelled. As Garauld had painted this lid before, I'm pretty sure it had the Permatex on it, and it was a real PITA to try and get all the old stuff off. The shop that repainted the lid removed...

    Learning Base Camp

This. I was in Kerrville, Texas on Sunday, following a route I had mapped in BaseCamp to the Holiday Inn Express there. As I got closer to the hotel, the voice commands were to "Go offroad". In the previous 30 minutes, I had been directed to take a road that was nothing more than a 100 foot path...
