I'm a Norfolkian & will be headed there, also. It's really a full day ride to get there. I'd like to catch up with you but I'll likely high tail it out 58. Really a bummer. There isn't much choice riding out from the part of VA. I live almost as far east in VA as you can get.

Definitely do what suits you. Just pointing out what might not be obvious to the west coaster. DC is approximately100 miles closer to Wytheville... but $40 a day savings would probably make my decision an easy one, also.

DC is going to be closer that Pittsburgh. Still a long trip.... but closer than Pittsburgh... but Pittsburgh would allow you to come down through WV. DC would allow you to come down I-81 for speed's sake. I guess it depends how fast you'd want to get to Wytheville.

That's what I needed to know, Fred. I am selling the unit for what I can get. I realize that it is obsolete but is still a useful unit. Heck, my 276C is obsolete & has older maps... 2012 I think. I use it for routing all of the time. I'm about ready to let it go bye bye now that I know that...

I'm selling the unit. I own it in the sense that someone handed it to me & I took it. I personally will not be looking for a way to use the mapping. I'm selling it... as in, on Ebay. I'll probably put it on here & the Facebook group, also. It's a Garmin 2730 Streetpilot. The maps are outdated...
