    Going to the Dark Side

Just installed the Riken Raptor last month. First foray into the dark side, and not many miles as the virus keeps me close to home, but will update as the miles roll on. I found this thread very helpful in making the switch, so glad to repay a little crowd-source info if I can.

    CFO 2020 - POSTPONED

All: It seems to be in the best interest of everyone to postpone CFO until the COVID-19 threat levels out further. If/when it gets rescheduled you'll see it here. Stay away from everyone in the meantime.

How Many Miles Did You Ride In 2019?

14,563 for 2019 with 159 days ridden. Logged days every month of the year, but just barely as there was only one rideable day in Feb. So that's at least 4 years of consecutive months ridden. I'm no BIkerChuck -- at least I have a LITTLE common sense. 😀 78,531 on the '15 as of Jan 1. That's 2...

    The ONE Picture Ride Report

Ran this past my meteorologist friend: "It’s a roll cloud. So probably an outflow boundary of some kind... along the edge of a pool of cold air dumped out by a storm... like a mini cold front." He also confirmed it is of alien origin and should not be photographed.

    I Need a Compressor

+1 on the California Air. So quiet, you'll wonder if it's running. If it's just for tire changes, etc, and not running air tools like a grinder or blast cabinet, 5-8 gallons is plenty.

So, where is everybody going to be hanging out after 9/27?

The regional meets aren't tied to the board, although they may have originated here, and are certainly publicized here. Most you see on here are also publicized on FJRiders, FJROwners, and Facebook.

You'll be staying long enough to do more than nap on a picnic table, right?

Reuben Run to YFO: What to do?

Big John recommended a scenic northerly route through Spearfish and Red Lodge. This would certainly be great riding, but I've got two days to cover 1900 miles, and I'm not Pathfinder, so it may be I-80 to SLC, then I-84 to 20 near Ontario. Still examining options, though.

Pathfinder's 100,000 (Cert.) Miles in 1 Year Attempt

Mind-boggling. And butt-numbing, no doubt. Way to go Tony, I don't know how you do it!

Reuben Run to YFO: What to do?

I was eyeballing Mattole Rd on Google maps...But it sounds like the goat trail I endured into Mariposa in '17. I'm pretty sure I can find a better ride, even if I give up a bit of "edge-of-the-continent" riding. Again, thanks for all the inputs!
