I agree with Ross, you probably have a clogged air filter or intake due to rodents. Did you check the entire intake, up to and including the filter?

Get a Rifle. It's the only one that will keep the air smooth when it's all the way up (due to the tuning block / angle optimizers). At least, that was my experience. I've got the +3 on my '08, and it was the only shield that did what I wanted, after trying several others. Good thing, too...

Yup. I must've tipped over my 'Strom 1000 4 or 5 times in two years of ownership. What a top-heavy pig that thing was. The FJR is easy by comparison, even though it's heavier.

My experiences mostly jive with yours. I finally got out with mine for a couple hours this weekend, as well. At full down to about 2/3 up, the air is the smoothest I've yet experienced on the Feej, hits from the chest up, and absolutely NO buffeting or turbulence... just clean, smooth air...
