    Torque loss after service.

I'm envious, great that the issue was resolved. I am trying to convice myself this lack of grunt is in my head and I don't ride the FJR enough to remember how it was. I need to find a local owner that is willing to swap for 15 minutes, I imagine it won't take but a few roll-on's to tell. Did...

VERY Good Deal on Metzelers... $156.94 for a set.

I love my Z8's but they have been replaced by Roadtecs, that is a sweet deal on the softer version.

Fascinating Fasteners, Torque Wrenches, Clamping Force etc from a KLR Forum

Just the fact that an oil pan bolt has a torque notation in the manual denotes a lack of practical experience from engineering. Go ahead, torque those caliper bolts with your new Craftsman wrench too. Lefty-lucy, righty-tighty then gut and tight. Gotta feel it. I will also read the full article...

    Buy a 2003 w/8K Miles? Advice, Please

The 2003's had awesome fueling and torque along with that beautiful silver paint. It needs to be owned and ridden hard.

    summer travel through Texas

That is the hottest part of the year with early August being brutal. It varies by year but the UV index on sunny days along with dew point and humidity is hard to ride through. It depends on tolerance but nothing close to enjoyable by any standards. Cover all skin and hydrate, do not ride at...

    Torque loss after service.

Same here. I do not know what / if any damage can be done until I can satisfy my mind.

    Torque loss after service.

I have the same issue, the butt dyno seems to be lacking some 4K pull. I hate this dealer for other incompetence, would not let them work on my wheelbarrow....it's too hot to work on stuff. I've been riding the BMW RS so maybe that's it. Another cool temperature project on the list...

Do you think I need a new tire yet?

You sound experienced in this belt sander coolness ? Maybe...nah.

Do you think I need a new tire yet?

Those are more than wear, looking close it looks like grinder marks or the poor bike was dragged sideways. I'm sure there is a nifty story about it.

    New Cheap tire seller

That ploy works and I like it.

    FJR lock in CooCase?

You are a worthless piece of **** Andy, how dare you ask for response from like indivuduals who may have done this. Crawl in your shell, do not engage human experiences and learn how to spend hours searching pages of mindless banter to get your information. This is how bikes rot in the garage...

    2006 Front caliper mounting bolts

They are designed to stretch upon application, in high heat areas supposedly keeping torque specs consistent. I bought new ones as the heads and threads wear out during many tire changes. Buy new ones, use blue loc-tite as thread preservative and never a torque wrench. They should reverse...

Where do I find those body caps for when the luggage is off?

I use them constantly, they really clean up the look when not using bags and are good for an extra 5 HP, thanks to Mike for an extra set.

    GixxerJasen does an FJR Trackday

Good fun Jasen, Texas track days are smoking hot in full leathers...there was no amount of liquid intake to help me one year. That little scoot looks like a blast, it's funny how those things just follow us home. I call it adopt-a-bike and make it happy.

    The FJR Bird Strike Poll

If you let 3 dove cook slowly on the FJR radiator for 120 miles they are medium-rare and perfect eating, bring some onions and jalapenos and napkins....lots of napkins.

    (edit) Cheap 7K tires

I have come to respect the Metler Z8, single compound and bad *** grip until it's just bald. They don't fade or blister but are known to be a PIA to mount, The dang things are stiff off the wheel but give great feedback and feel when installed.

    Please someone stop the noise

Motorcycle riding requires hearing protection period. I use the howard leight foam ones on one bike, and the wax plugs on another. That constant roar will ruin life as you get older, easy solution now.
