Will the Droid supplant other electronic devices?

I switched to ATT for an iPhone last year. I was actually piloting it for my company, but decided that despite ATT, the phone hardware and software options were worthy over BB and Windows Mobile. We were looking to dump Blackberry due to the additional hardware and software of Blackberry...

    Engine noise in audio system

Ground loop noise is what you have. If so, you probably hear a little when the engine is off, a ton of whine when it is on. All ground points of powered devices should be tied to one point (battery preferred much over chassis). Also, a GLI (Ground Loop Isolator, noted above) cures all ills. -BD

Shout out to South Florida Feejers

I have found no joy on non-HD rentals. Many bike shops in FL went OOB. Even Triumph/Ducati bit the dust. Try the BMW dealer in Davie, FL. They might have some ideas. -BD

Having my fuel injection cake and eating it too!

Cool idea. No hijack intended, but if I were installing the Motty, I would buy a pair of ECU connectors and make an interface cable. This would allow for plug and play operation in case it needed to be easily removed. Downside besides additional effort and cost is slightly lower reliability of...

On my Gen I: Calsci Medium and spacers made a world of difference. Perfect air bubble? No, but pretty close. -BD

    iPhone on the FJR

Here is how I mounted my PDA phone a coupla years back. I had since moved it to a techmount stand, then moved it gone and got a Zumo. Hit Me Chief! I currently have an iPhone too - I am not sure if the capacitive screen will work through the clear lens of the AquaBox. My sincere...

Dude, put the keys on the counter and back away from the FJR. The Honda dealer is around the corner, and they will happily sell you a Wing... -BD

    Cheap HID Aux lights

Is it me, or does it seem that the light is concentrated in one spot? I don't know if this is aiming, but it appears that you'll burn a hole in the concrete, but 10' away it is black as night. Maybe just the camera or what, but I would expect a more ecen beamcast is your goal... -BD

    Installing cruise control this weekend...

I would recommend the "non-disruptive" solder method: Using a REAL wire stripper (NOT *****) cut the insulation circumferentially around the wire in two places, about 1/2" apart. Using a razor, slit the insulation longitudinally along the wire between the two cuts. Be careful in both operations...

    Talk about Hi-Viz Helmets

I have an EXO-700 and I have been happy with it. It is DOT and Snell M2005 certified, but the Motorcyclist mag test knocked it for having to stiff a shell, so you may find people here who may shy away as a result. -BD

    Tire pressure monitor

The price is right, but personally, I prefer my TireWatch system, which has worked flawlessly so far, and is "permanently" installed. -BD
