There's similar thread right now: clicky I have the mount installed, and just recently installed the light kit to put brake lights on the E52 I have. It has two contacts on the case and the base-plate, so when I put the case on, it's connected. Works great.

The setup I have is basically both of those together, except I don't think the plate from option 1 (labelled as "2" in the pic) is there. It's rock solid and nothing moves unexpectedly.
