Wanted any used FJR Cam Chain Tensioner

Mine was about half that from Gary. Though he'll take more if you insist.

Wanted any used FJR Cam Chain Tensioner

To what end? A lower cost substitute? Great, but keep in mind the small number of potential sales, the infrequent replacement schedule, and the fact an oe from Mondack is $50. Not a lot to work with, profit wise.

    Thanks and Goodbye

I don't know. A HD motor in a Feej chassis would be kinda nasty. And not in a good way. And their one year warranty assumes accumulated mileage of about 500-700.

Here then. Even has a name kinda Yammi like.

    Starter issues

Starter draw no-load should be about 30A. Under load, 43A-85A. Relay is rated to 180A, battery produces anywhere from 135A to 200A depending on manufacturer and health. These are rough numbers, but suffice to say if a starter has a fairly high no-load and a really high load cranking amp it's...

    R1 Shifter Actuation Arm

01 arm fits perfect-but no joint included. Don't know what that deal's about. But the mod works well. #9 5JJ-18112-00-00

    Starter issues

Jeez, any decent shop has a starter/alt/volt tester that can measure starter draw while cranking. Spend a half hour with one and put this to bed.

    This is driving me nuts.....

I bolted my 2730 to the front of my helmet. Hard to focus though, so I extended it out a half a foot-perfect.

    Thanks and Goodbye

Pull the head yourself, you're looking at about $1200.

When will the Yamaha 2010 models be released?

I hate Frank, he's been a real pain in the ***, but I'm not solid on that yet-I'll put another 55k on 'im and get back to ya.

    Texting while driving?

Though I doubt it will make much of an impression, cuz everyone knows "it won't happen to me".

Dealership says no to "unwind throttle spring"

I did it, and it killed me. Immediately. Didn't hurt much though.

    crush washer

Then it was messed up. I swapped the oe washers for copper on Franks first change, at about 25 miles. He now has 55k on those same washers, with change intervals at around 2k.

    Toast the Nut

I hung his old "Special Forces" windshield in a place of honor in my computer room. Hows the ridin' up there TDub? :)

Chevy Truck stalls after 30 seconds

Interesting you should mention that. The first thing the morons that work as drivers here do when their truck starts having possible fuel problems is, even though they have a half a tank, to fill it righ to the top, as if the extra weight will make that pump just sing. Then we have...

Chevy Truck stalls after 30 seconds

Oil pressure switch. It shuts the pump off if oil pressure drops as a safety roll-over device. The ecm runs the pump for 2 seconds, then shuts down until it receives a signal from the ignition module (which is also a suspect). Lacking this signal, pump quits, you run outta fuel. Chief...

    Starter issues

Have a starter/alternator shop check that starter out. Some thoughts. 1) Yammis don't like brushes that are even 1/3 to 1/2 gone. At least that's been their history. 2) Which came first, the chicken or? Did the magnet move and THEN start rubbing, or do you have a failing bearing/bushing...

    Combustion chamber squish and design

No, a Hemi is a Hemi. Pent Roof a Pent Roof-if the terms didn't have different meanings, then why do both exist? Again, a Pent Roof- A Hemi- In addition-Hemi has no squish-the piston crown fills the chamber to provide enough compression to run. Huge valves come at a cost-flow is fantastic...

    Combustion chamber squish and design

Commonly known as a "Pent Roof" chamber. Central plug, nice even flame front, squish fore and aft. MUCH better flame front characteristics than a true Hemi, but slightly longer and less free flowing ports due to the right angle turn at the valve. Hemis make power, but need boost to work well...
