    It's On!

So it's 8:00PM, I'm still not home, and I have my FJR in pieces in the garage. I still need to put it back together from replacing the stator, battery, and a few fuses. Not to mention the fuel cell is off, and aux lights are not on... Something tells me I won't be ready to leave by 3:00am...

Have a car that needs to go

Personally I would say fix the car and let the boy drive it his last year in college. After that, let him trade it in on a new car if he wants, or donate it then. You could also just sell it dirt cheap too. Say $500-$1000

    26 Motorcycles Crash on I-5

I just gotta add my comments that neither add to the topic nor pick at this group directly. This is actually a prime example of why I don't do group rides anymore. Sure I enjoy going out riding with friends and what not, but I will not ride in a large group anymore. To me it seems the larger...

    Shinko's anyone???

Well, I'll never install them again. At first I thought if money is tight and I need new tires, I guess I would install them, but honestly I wouldn't. I woud rather *gasp* go to the darkside before I installed another Stinko on my bike. Sorry I don't agree with the the people who love them...

    Dragging feet

Well, first of all you shouldn't be shifting in the middle of a turn. You should be anticipating your speed and choosing the right gear prior to entering the turn. Keep it in that gear and ride through the turn. Second, you should be riding with the balls of your feet on the footpegs to make...

    Shinko's anyone???

I've tried them, didn't care for them. After a few long heat cycles (800+ mile days) they seemed to loose a lot of the grip they once had. I installed them in the fall and by the time winter hit, they inspired no confidence. I had to hit the brakes harder than usual in a few rain storms and it...

Sampson Fuel Cell - Not the Taildragger

You might be right. The original she had on there was a homebrew she made up. I know at one point she was talking to LindaT about a fuel cell cover, so she may have gotten one and I hadnt really noticed.

Sampson Fuel Cell - Not the Taildragger

I believe this is the fuel cell IronMaiden runs on her bike. If I can find pics of it, I'll post them... or maybe she'll jump in and post some. The mount was custom made to fit over the pillion seat and she made her own fuel cell cover to make it look less fugly. Summit Racing 4 gallon cell...

Sampson Fuel Cell - Not the Taildragger

That's why it works. I had one of those cells for a short time (until I could get them to return it for lying to me), and I can tell you from personal experience, it will not work with with a Givi rack and a V46 case.

Sampson Fuel Cell - Not the Taildragger

My 2 cents on this.. take it for what its worth. If you looking to just add some capacity, the Sampson passenger seat tank will do that. It will give you 3.9 gallons, and in some peoples opinions will look better than your typical rectangular fuel cell. However, it will NOT fit with a Givi...
