    Hate your job?

    Do you know the difference between an oral vs rectal thermometer? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The taste. (I'm here all week.)

BullCBX is an official crash club member

Glad it was stitches and not pins (bones). At that slow a speed, you must have hit gravel or a slick of some kind. Did you notice anything like that afterward?

    odot is going WILD!

I'm not normally a big hockey fan... but I've watched Pittsburgh some since my son lives there. The game Saturday was great... the Pens were down to the Flyers 3 - 0, and came back to score 5 unanswered. Fleur was crazy good on goal (after the 1st 3 scores).

Hit a Deer the Other Day!

******' forest rats... great that you stayed vertical. Demerits for not sending it to the grave. Those suckers are solid aren't they?

Super Bike races @ Barber vintage Motorcycle Museum

I'll be there for at least some of it. There's talk of having breakfast at 29Dreams Saturday morning. It's a nice, but short, curvy ride to Barber's from there. 29Dreams web site. BTW, last year police were checking MC riders for license and proof of insurance.

    What? No New Zealand region?

Wheatie... I was there some years back, the Kiwis were all nice as hell. I was only on the north island... I'd like to visit the south island also. Police pooches at the airport also sniffed my luggage. I've never seen a country so devoid of litter... they take it seriously. Go if you get a...

    WaterProof Riding Boots

I'm on my second pair of Oxtar Matrix boots... I've been through some extended downpours, the ones where cars pull off the road, and my feet stayed bone dry. It has leather uppers, Gor-Tex waterproof lining, and oil-resistent soles. They are very comfortable... you'll forget you're wearing M/C...

    We lost a friend Lgjohn

So sad. I can't imagine how you guys felt when you realized his family didn't know. Prayers and peace to y'all for being there and trying, and to you and the family to get past this. RIP Lee.

Gen I '05 emits white, putrid smoke on startup

For the last couple of weeks, when I've started my bike in cold weather, white smoke comes from the engine area, before it's had time to warm up. My bike is an outside pet, so it has to wake up in sub-freezing temps this time of year sometimes. That hasn't been a problem in years past (it's a...

    The inimitable dcarver!

I'll provide whatever libations you want. The bass will be hittin' in the Spring or Fall at the lake... your choice. Just give me a heads up before hand. "Bass love me and women fear me"... oh wait... was that backwards?

    The inimitable dcarver!

Happy Birthday Don! You crazy ******. I sincerely hope to meet up with you some day (I'd love to swap stories of us taking out Bambi and not going down). Iffin you ever get anywhere near Alabama, call me (I'll PM my cell phone #) :drinks:

Motorcycles passing through a red light

Like Iggy said, lowering the side stand will kill the engine if you're not in neutral. Use the center stand... lower it until contact is made on the road, hopefully near or on a sensor. It works sometimes.

    slow cranking

While meaning to poke fun, the Texamo Eskimo could have a point about the oil. I don't know what winter weight you're running, but 20W anything is really thick in temps. below freezing. That could make for hard starting.

    Bruce Needs your prayers

BTDT... the pain is beyond description. Prayer's from here... get in his face and challenge him to kick it.

    Honda may dump MotoGP too

Money isn't the problem... the upper management pricks at Honda can't handle competition. They think it's all about the machine, and not the rider. They screwed up not appreciating Rossi and letting him go to Yami... where he subsequently helped Yami improve that platform and won... again...

    Extremely good news today.

Very excellent Andre... we need you here. I appreciate your track days/racing inputs. Hope to meet you someday.

155 mph Vincent on the Radio

I did... when he first got the tire turning. I give the chain a 1 week survival rate. It did sound sweet though.

    Still in Lust

After a long period of not owning a bike, and having to borrow friends bikes... I stumbled onto the FJR. Without having ridden one or seen one in person, I plunked down the $500 PDP in April of '04 (remember that torture guys?). My wife was PISSED, but I went with the axiom that it's better to...
