Looks like, after washing myself out of the IBR, I'll be able to make this ride after all, hurray for me!! :clapping: I'll probably head out Friday afternoon/night hauling in the truck. Anything specific anyone needs? Graniteville was undergoing hellacious water line or sewage line...

    Smitty's Audiovox Cruise Install

Another satisfied customer here... Since I washed myself out of the 07 IBR last Saturday I had some time on my hands so, after playing tourist for a few days, arranged with Smitty to ride to his place Wednesday night for a CC install. I'd already done an install that failed and since I had the...

    IBR bike casualties

I carried a print out of it in my rally book and take it with me anytime I cross state lines. Looks like Mike Evans, so far, is going to be the top FJR rider. Go Mike and Matt and Tom and Alan and everyone else!! dougc

    IBR bike casualties

I talked to Bob last night and he did have an Electrosport stator. He was fairly bummed as he had a very good leg one going. It will be interesting to see what the stator looks like. I believe he's going to get it fixed locally, perhaps at Chesterfied Valley PS. dougc

Something arrived yesterday, while I was overnighting in Lincoln, Nebraska, but my son did not open or look to see who it is from so don't know if it was lights or mounting brackets. I'll ask him to check when I call tonight and see if anything else arrived. We are now at the IBR hotel in St...

SkooterG vs. the Iron Butt Rally

I'll be there as well as I type from my motel room in Lincoln, NE. Easy drive tomorrow to St. Louis. My FJR has carried me on several BBG rides so since Linda is coming for the duration we loaded the bike and took it for a BBG in my truck. Made it with time to spare. Stayton to Lincoln, 1680...

    Michelin Pilot Road 2

I'm leaning that way but think I could get away with the Storms. Plan on starting with new tire on a loaner wheel and putting my wheel with new tire back on at the first check. I generally get better tire mileage than most. 9-10K miles on Roads. If I can squeeze 5K miles out of a Storm rear...
