Frazier Park, Cerro Noroeste and the famous "33"

Barry, In addition to running 3-4 times a week, playing tennis 2 times a week, I have incorporated yoga twice weekly. I know it Sounds boring, but you might want to give it a try. Clicky - Just your average Hot Chick yoga class I don't know why, but it really seems to get the blood flowing to...

Frazier Park, Cerro Noroeste and the famous "33"

Your just jealous because my corner entrance speed is higher. :****: Besides now that I have my own radar detector, I won't have to sit back and let you take all the heat. Milestone: my first use of the TWN's favorite emoticon, and you were the lucky recipient, don't you just feel warm and...

Frazier Park, Cerro Noroeste and the famous "33"

Hey, it takes a lot of work to be a skinny dude. Just 4 simple rules. 1) work out, alot, everyday. 2) don't drink or smoke. 3) if it's bad for you, don't eat it. 4) make love to your wife, alot. If I die from a coronary or cancer at a young age, I am going to be really pissed. :biggrinsmiley...

Skyway spacers, Yamaha Touring Windshield & Interference

The Skyway spacers are about 9.3 mm. If you put in something smaller. Like 6,7 or 8mm, it pretty much solves the problem. That is what I have done.

Skyway spacers, Yamaha Touring Windshield & Interference

Well that's just bizarre. Maybe I have spacers for an Gen I. I measured the size of the spacers that Skyway provided for my Gen II and they were about 9.3mm thick. A little smaller and they would have been closer to working. I solved the interference by carefully trimming the point of contact...

Skyway spacers, Yamaha Touring Windshield & Interference

Hal, Thanks for the thought. I am sure that everything is together correctly, now. The gap for the windshield mechanism is now at a consistent distance to the surface of the fairing. Why it was not before I don't know. Remounting the nose solved it. But there is still interference with the...

    Is the "E" worth it

I will get about 6,000 miles out of a Strada "E", and I am generally not light on the throttle, but don't weigh alot either. My guess is stiffer sidewall (for the heavier bikes), less flex, less heat, better wear. Though it sounds like we need a few more members to give us mileage figures...

Skyway spacers, Yamaha Touring Windshield & Interference

I took off the front plastic. There appeared to be nothing wrong with the windshield mechanism, so I re-mounted the plastic nose piece and gap is gone. Maybe the nose plastics was slightly mis-mounted. But there is still some interference with the windshield and the upper corners of the fairing...

Skyway spacers, Yamaha Touring Windshield & Interference

I installed the skyway windshield spacers along with my new Yamaha Touring windshield. But there is interference on the right side. Actually the Metal W bracket that the windshield bolts to is lower by about 3/16" on the Right Side. This is a picture of the gap on the Left side with the Right...

I don't know where to start with this

GunMD, Point well taken. If I am insulting the guy about his incompetent riding skills, I should be properly spelling incompetent. How the hell do I enable spell check on IE7 anyway. Does anybody know. There is no doubt about it my spelling needs help. Thank god for spell check. Do I...

I don't know where to start with this

Yes, technically you may be correct, but I have never high sided a bike in this manner, nor have I ever seen any road racing footage of a high side due to straight line braking and locking the rear wheel. I guess you can also high side a bike by breaking the rear wheel under accelleration...

I don't know where to start with this

Wow, what a looser! I hate ***** victims. I responded to his article with the following. Jerry, As a 45 year old motorcyclist with Road Racing experience, 26 years of continuous street riding experience and 10 years of motocross racing experience, it is very clear that you have very little...

Is a new 06 worth $4k more than an 05 with low milage

It depends if you are in California or not. If you are NOT in California $13,400 is way to high. D&H in Alambama was selling the 06's A's (not AE) for $11,800, and that was before the 07's were out. California dealerships don't seem very willing to deal since there is a CA model only and you...

Best way to combine Music & Radar

Thanks for all of your suggestions. Clearly the Mix it is the way to go. Simplicity rather than cost was the overall theme. Mounting the mix it and running the associated wires is just additional complication (if it weren't necessary). For this reason the Marc Parnes Visual Alert is a great...

Best way to combine Music & Radar

Sounds like the Mix It 2 will work. :good: Is there any added back ground noise from amplification? When I had a the Starcom, I noticed the unit added some background hiss to a pretty clean recording, which kind of bummed me out, because I am a little anal (read lots anal) about my music...

Best way to combine Music & Radar

Now a priority feed... That might be worth it. What does that do, mute everything else? Should I get the Mix it 1 or the Mix it 2. Is it water proof / water resistant? Thanks for the advice.

Best way to combine Music & Radar

I listen to my Ipod when traveling, and want to add the warning tones from my new escort 9500i. What is the simplest way? Can I just use a Y-connector? I am not really interested in using a complete communications system like the Starcom or Autocom. Below is a link to a mix it, but this...

    Santa Came to my house

Well if anybody needs a new shock it is you. Having followed you on Saturday's WFO ride, I am surprised you have any pegs left. I look forward to a report. What did you decide on the settings, as I know you ride two up. Did you get it set up for one person, w/ pillion or something in the...

    can't crack oil drain plug

Mine was pretty tight as well. But leverage is a wonderful thing. Don't you have a 1/2" drive breaker bar with the appropriate socket? That is what I used when it was new. And yes it was damn tight. But there is no way that it would be too tight for that equipement. Otherwise it would be...
