I've had them on my both my 04 and my 13 (still). Work great, but I don't often use them. Whats WAY more useful is a chrome stud helmet holder for a cruiser that threads into the unused mirror mount on the FJR. I use it every ride, I'd be lost without it.

Sounds normal to me. My 04 behaved exactly the same. Ride more, sweat less.

Shoulda stayed in Wytheville. 50F and raining. The trees changed from barely showing any color to about 25-30% change while we were gone.

Line and I rolled home around 4:30 after spending the night at the Hilton in Erie PA ($109!) The rain started heavy on the Cdn side around St. Catharines and didn't really end until just before home.

Line and I rolled in around 11pm. Bumped to the KJ posse in Fairmont for a gas stop, how freaky is that! Long day behind the wheel. All good.

I'm at work not making eye contact with anybody, you know how that goes. Line and I are leaving tonight around 6'ish. We'll be rolling in tomorrow night around supper time or so.

My 2 cents. Put the bike on a diet (I don't think you can stand to lose much). Next, change the gearing. Wasn't the VMax final gear set a direct swap and you gain a 10% reduction, your 03 had the 'good' primary gear set from the factory. Throw in a heavy duty clutch while your at it. I'm sure...
