Almost all of the coolant gets drained in order to do a valve clearance check. Make sure you have a valve cover gasket and the O-rings for the coolant pipe.

The main problem with relying on the phone is that I regularly ride in areas where there is no phone reception. Zumo 665 for me for navigation and music.

By jump I meant using a small power pack. Great tool to have on the bike. Also, after being on the charger for 24 hours the bike starts fine, so I may not need a battery.
