I've seen numerous references to the T28 in use by our USAF FACs in the "secret" war in Laos in the late '60s, also in use by the Laotian AF as a ground attack platform in the same war.

When Suzuki made the Madura, they developed a hydraulic lifter that would rev to 9000 rpm in the 1200s and 10,500 rpm in the 700s. I've hit the rev limiter on mine on more than one occasion and never had a problem in 74,000+ miles.
You might try alternately bleeding at the banjo fitting at the master cylinder and the slave cylinder. Air likes to rise to the highest point and I've found this method to be effective on all four of my bikes with hydraulic clutches. Be careful not to get any fluid on painted surfaces.
