8 Miles on the Rim Trail

Great video, definitely one of your better ones. The cloud shadows on the landscape were spectacular. Looked like Duchess was considering a squirrel burger for lunch...

    Please someone stop the noise

With the Howard Leight plugs and a Scala G4 with upgraded speakers, I have great volume and sound quality.

    (Possibly) MC Related Vascular Condition

Glad to hear it wasn't malignant and hope you have a full recovery with no further complications.

    Please someone stop the noise

Even with a CalSci barn door screen and a C3, I use plugs. Finding ones with all day comfort was a PIA; I tried a lot before I found the Howard Leights https://www.howardleight.com/earplugs/laser-lite were about the only ones that worked for me, YMMV.

What are the symptoms of a shot starter?

I have a clamp meter that's DC capable and can bring it if you can't locate one locally. The Fluke 36 I normally use doesn't have a peak hold function for DC current, but should give an accurate measurement if the motor can crank long enough for the reading to stabilize (a few seconds). Tom

    Replacement parts

Glad to hear the operation was a success. The swelling will take a long time to dissipate, if her experience mirrors mine. Interesting little tool they use to remove the staples.

A dear friend was killed last night on her bike.

Always sorry to hear of a fellow rider injured or worse. My deepest sympathy to family and survivors.

Redfish in The Smoky Mountain Rain

Can't say enough good things about Wheels Through Time. I've been through it three times and always find something new or something I missed before. The last time I was there, they had a video (made by the History Channel) playing on a big screen TV up on the mezzanine about Dale and Matt making...

An apology to all of the Subie owners/enthusiasts out there.

No offense taken here, my Forester would be a joke trying to run the Dragon at speed, especially with me behind the wheel. I've been known to use much more descriptive terms when discussing drivers of certain luxury sports cars in the D.C. area... Decent of you, IMHO, to post an apology...

    The ONE Picture Ride Report

June, 2011, the GSX1100G group held a rally in Maggie Valley, NC. Our fearless leader had arranged for Dale Walksler and his son Matt to give us a guided tour through Wheels Through Time. BTW, I highly recommend having one or both of them along on a tour; in three visits there, I got more out of...

    Replacement parts

Total replacement of my left knee in June 2013; if she does the PT religiously, she will be glad she went ahead with it. Please convey my best wishes for a quick and complete recovery to her. I was mobile - with a cane - when I got home from the hospital.

    Any ideas for Kickstand Enlarger

I'd imagine that would depend on the thickness of the metal used for the pad. I decided not to chance it - that's the reason for forming the pad around the stand and tacking it with the bike leaning on the stand. Bike leans exactly as it did before adding the pad.

    Any ideas for Kickstand Enlarger

To revive an old thread, finished spring maintenance on the Feej, so I decided to make a sidestand pad to increase the footprint on chancy asphalt. I had considered one of the excellent units offered by WynPro, but wanted to keep the stock lean angle and liked the idea of welding it. Picked up a...
