I've thought about using the cheap grip warmers (about $20) laid flat. Not sure how they would hold up to the bending of sitting on them. The ones I put under my grips get toasty warm.
Just remember that with anything vent less that burns something (i.e. not electric) you will be breathing the fumes. The main byproduct of burnt natural or propane gas is carbon dioxide (same stuff you breathe out). It's high in humidity which can cause mold issues and it displaces the air in...
Rick. I've already put in the appropriate form at work for the days off but am going to hold off on registering until I know if my Dad can make it again and if my son can come with.
Sweet. Hopefully my son will have his big bike license by then and can come see what all the fuss is about. Rick, you look a bit young to be retiring. Congrats.
The silver accents match your FJR, I don't know how you couldn't buy it, so glad you did. I recently looked at a '81 Seca 750 like I had as a kid, but it was way too far gone to be worth buying. Your right, they seemed a lot better through the rose colored glasses of memory. Just can't compete...
From what I'm reading, second gear was weak and would start to pop out if you hammered it often. I like the styling. I don't have a lot invested so I'm not worried about it. Driving it around the block it seemed fine. So may bikes, so little time.
I don't count the KTM as a second bike 'cause off road is another thing entirely. Bought a Suzuki RF900R a few months back but haven't had time to title or ride it. Now winter is here. Maybe get to try it out in the spring. Thinking a dual sport would be a good addition too, looking at a DRZ 400.
Had the bee experience test riding a DRZ400S at the Honda Hoot when it was Asheville (they let other brands come to the party). Been tempted to keep one of those sting packs in a saddle bag, but how often does it happen? Rather hit a bee than deer. :pooh_on_ball:
The Fischer got a pretty good review by Motorcycle Consumer News. From what I understand Hyosung has been making some of Suzukis parts for years. Of course a limited, if at all, dealer nertwork could be a pain. I'll stick with the FJR, but if you wanted to be the only one on the block with that...
I wonder if this will help Fischer. From the articles I've seen, they make a sweet, American made, reasonably priced bike. See https://www.fischer1.com/Fischer_motorcycles.htm
How come we are expected to give two weeks notice when we quit, but companies just throw you out? This is why no one cares about their job anymore. Look after the employees and they will look after you.
