my solution for getting ride of the BUZZZZZZZZ

Why not try that techlusion thing first? Lot cheaper. I can't think how fuel mapping is going to reduce engine vibration. On the other hand, I can't think.

When I called Dairyland in May after getting Progressive's sticker shock, they told me it's classified as a "cruiser," thus the much lower rate than Progressive. I din't disabuse them of their idea. By the way I had a claim almost immediately...my wiener dog( )knocked it...

    Code Superbike School

Just be careful. That organization is eat up with scientologists, I hear, with Code being the leader. I'd hate to see you hopping around on a couch.

    Honda VFR Rumour

Only for the last three years, with the noise getting louder in July and August, before the new model announcements. Otherwise, it's big news.

    Engine sound through headphones

Aha. I was suspicious of just that, wondering why it's so 'dirty.' The ground loop isolator took care of it. If someone could tell me how to convert the wires from the male cigarette lighter plug on the iPod and Roady power supplies so I could hard wire them into the electrical system, I'd do...

    Engine sound through headphones

I thought the extension cable was a little pricey. I got a four foot one at Radio Shack for just a few bucks. Maybe it's five feet. Maybe it doesn't have the right angle deal...can't remember...but it works.

    Engine sound through headphones

Fixed this problem. Got a ground loop isolator from The Electrical Connection, with male and female mini-plug adapters, so all I had to do was put the isolator between the amp output and the Autocom's input. Right now I have three ground wires running back to the battery from under the seat...

    '06 buzz through the bars

Are the bars hollow, from the triple clamp to the grips?

Maybe the FJR ain't God's gift to motorcycles after all

Hmmm. Let's see, I've frequented three Goldwing, two VFR, a couple of ST1300, three FJR,sport touring, and a Texas-oriented forums over the last couple of years. Each site has a disproportionate share of "complaints, whines, *******," whatever you want to call them, compared to "my bike is the...

Yeah, I heard you're that slow. War and Peace is, what, 1500 pages? :****:

This is what I was thinking of. Bar Snake, now in a liquid form which can be poured into not-tubular bars. Anyone tried it? Guinea pig, anyone? https://www.barsnake.com/

    '06 buzz through the bars

Not my idea, comes from something I read, somewhere, such as this suggestion: s" to filling the handlebar to dampen vibration, it works to some extent, but adds a lot of weight. If you are going to go that route, it is best to use lead shot (birdshot). It's inexpensive, won't rust, doesn't...

Has anyone tried those snake things, or filling the bars with BBs 9or something like BBs)?

Efficient Paperwork System and Cockpit Light

Hmm, I WISH my butt was made of iron, but it's not. However, I'm constantly using a tiny LED light, both on the bike and elsewhere, that would seem to solve your problems, at a fraction of the cost, albeit without the joy of adding a deluxe farkle entailing pulling plastic bits off the bike and...

    '06 buzz through the bars

Yes, of course, and I had no idea when starting this thread it'd turn into a litany. With my extremely limited seat time on the bike, and with the intervals between rides approaching three months, I was expressing surprise, not dismay, at the buzzing through the bars and at higher rpms, through...

    '06 buzz through the bars

Thanks, fellas. Based on your comments, I'm thinking throttle body sync. I rode it over 400 miles the first day I had it, no issues at all. I just passed 1,000 today :( :( Won't be getting back on it any time soon. :( :(

    '06 buzz through the bars

Although I've had my bike since April, I've not been able to ride it since the first week I had it. Today I decided to try again (busted tailbone) and put about 65 miles on the bike. I got home about 45 minutes ago, and my hands still have that "buzzy" feeling. I have grip puppies already. I...

    Racing Class

I've done Reg's CLASS, and Freddie Spencer's school in Vegas, and several track-day schools. Lots of guys will swear by Reg's teaching and techniques, and Laguna Seca's a heck of a place to ride. My experience was, well, barely adequate. He has LOTS of repeat "students", who seem to be there...

    06 Top Case Options

This is what I did, I'm happy with it; cheaper, and bigger, than the factory box, I think more expensive than the Givi? https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...ic=7425&hl=
