    Short inseam concerns

5'4" and 29" here too. I have the Soupy's links for the rear and Highly recommend them! Much better since they are infinitely adjustable and can be used to raise or lower the rear. They are turnbuckle style and you can adjust them with a 3/4 wrench with the bike on the center stand.

    Rear Trunk recommendations

Most of my experience is with Givi, on my past 4 bikes. A Bandit1200, SV 650, SV 1000, and now my 05FJR. I use the trunk daily and try to keep it mostly empty to store my helmet in when I'm off the bike. If you will have a pillion, get the 52, the 46 is snug to get 2 helmets in. :)

    will a 190/50 (55) fit a FJR

If the tires are mounted on stock 5.5 "rim, their profiles are slightly different from design. That is why the 50 profile "feels "quicker to me.(YMMV)

    will a 190/50 (55) fit a FJR

Yes , I've been running the 190/50 for a couple of months now, faster turn in , quicker transitions from side to side and more rounded profile so you have some rubber left when your pegs touch down. ( looks like bigger chicken strips)

    Glove box lid jammed

Just to follow up, I found the red wire in the contacts of the ignition switch to have a bad solder joint. This killed all power past the battery main fuse. I had to drill out the security bolts and remove the contact block and resolder the wire. While the bike was down, I changed the spark...
