2013 Iron Butt Rally - The Inside View

We've only seen stage 1 bonii. A sadist would sprinkle them across all stages. Put on your rally master hat. :-)

2013 Iron Butt Rally - The Inside View

You need a bit more of a sadistic streak in your thinking. I bet you need to get them *all* to get the bonus.

2013 Iron Butt Rally - The Inside View

Tobie needs to back away from the HDR button and get another lens. That fish eye should be about worn out by now. I'd like the pictures a lot more if they weren't all distorted and ****** with. All that processing makes it hard to really "see" the pic.

Lessons Learned on changing the CCT

Just finished changing my CCT, about 3 hours including a trip to the tool store for a cheap screwdriver. Couple of tips: The hole in the CCT for the adjuster screw was too small for any of my screwdrivers to reach deep enough to turn the screw. I ended up buying a cheap one at Kent Tool and...

Lessons Learned on changing the CCT

Glad to see my bookmark still finds this thread after the "upgrade". Has anyone tried replacing the bottom bolt with an allen head or torx head bolt?

Corbin Seat - Gen 1 with Heater

So WTF? You bump your thread, provide no contact information, attach one crappy picture then don't answer a pm. I've got cash burning hole in my pocket and I haven't heard squat in 3 days. This is a lesson on how not to sell something on a forum.

    The Ultimate Battery !

Still waiting for my factory battery to die, doesn't look look like it's going to happen anytime soon. Took delivery in July 04. When it goes I'm going with a Yuasa sealed. I've always used these and never been disappointed or stranded.

    Time for a new GPS

Bramfrank, puzzled by your comments about Zumo not being readable in bright sun. I've never had a problem with my 660 except for adjusting it so the sun doesn't reflect into my eyes. I use a ram ball mount threaded directly into the existing hole in the left handlebar and a shorty ram...

Thanks Brian & Marissa for another great Tech Day!

Thanks for putting this together. Met some new forum faces and saw a few I'd run into before, learned that I better get on with replacing my CCT real soon too. I even conquered what I'm calling Aurburn FJR's "Driveway of Death". :lmaosmiley:

upper midwest to PNW in october. Bad idea?

I wouldn't say NUTS, but I'd keep an eye on the weather radar. Going through the Rockies and Yellowstone will take you up over 8000 ft a couple times and the passes into western Washington are 3500 - 5000 ft. October is the time when the weather starts to turn from fall to winter. The...

    Waterproof Duffle Bag

I use a Seattle Sports 2500 that's going on 5 years and still watertight. The come in larger sizes too. I like the ammo loops on this one. I'd stuff them full of 12 gauge for full effect.

    Fall Tech Meet

I'd like to attend and observe the valve check and CCT change. I'm due for my first valve check ~27,000 miles after having my tick fixed. The bike also seemed to be kinda noisy from the cam chain area on a cold start so I may do a pre-emptive CCT change or at least have a bunch of you listen to...
