I saw a 2018 this past weekend at a local dealer. I liked the color and they blacked out a number of other parts that were silver up until the 2018. You will like it!!!

I've also heard that they are going to stop production of the Trophy. They have recently dropped prices considerably and there are 2017s at dealers priced at $14.5K.. I agree on the balance of sport vs. touring when comparing the FJR to a Trophy. Just about everyone that buys an FJR probably...

Sorry, a Miata is girls car. You can just see Barbie driving one. When I'm forced off two wheels, some type of replacement will be needed to fulfill my need for exhilaration. Maybe a Gold Wing trike, or I'll get a classic car/truck and drive it with the windows down.

I agree with this. There was a progression with significant new features from the 13, 14 (ES), and finally the 16/17(6th Gear/ LED lighting)

A lot of those are ridiculously expensive. If you have a Big 5 Sporting goods near you, try one of these: They are usually on sale for less than the $59.95... I've only used the one I have only twice, but it rolls up small and protects you from laying on rocks or other hard objects protruding...

Rode my FJR a couple of weekends ago up to the Grand Canyon and camped out for two nights. On Saturday (10/8/16) saw a black FJR leaving the main parking area of the Canyon.

On occasion I get the bug for a different ride. Not interested in the K1600 - too big and heavy. I do like the 1200 RT and it is really comfortable out of the box. It is even lighter than the FJR. I just can't justify the $23K price tag.

Congrats on your new bikes! I could buy a new bike, however I'm a too frugal and can't justify it when my 2004 just runs and handles so well. Maybe when I get 100K on the 2004.
