    Smokers (BBQ - not grilling)

Tip for the UDS guys. Either put anti-seize on your threads or replace the hardware every once in a while. If you don't, they might need some coaxing to get them to come off. It was time to replace it all anyway. Time to go to the hardware store. Gotta do a brisket next weekend.

    Is FJR a good commuter?

Truth. I was looking at an FJR when I'd wrecked my FZ1, but a sweet showroom quality FZ1 bee came to my attention and I was swayed. I ended up with the bee. My long commute in my pickup in the winter at the time the gas was skyhigh made me get rid of it. Later, I ended up selling the bee and...

Fall down go boom.... now with gory pics!

Geez, such an innocent object, and yet.... I wonder if ABS would do anything at all in that situation. You know, see the brakes are on and the difference in wheel speed. Not sure it would have helped but something to ponder on while you wait on your x-rays. Glad you are relatively ok and that...

Looking at getting an FJR - one concern

Only for the cool kids, hence why you and I never get any.

You park your FJR ON your garage?

    Gen III Error Message

In the pre-release model that light said "*****" but marketing made them change it for the production model. Too many hurt feelings and all.

    "A Story Worth Living"

Viewing tip: Get the movie on DVD, then get your riding friends together and everybody drink whenever the word "Story" is said. Make sure no one drives home because no one will be in any condition to be driving.

    "A Story Worth Living"

I'm fairly certain that Charlie Boorman agreed to come meet them until he saw the video and then promptly went out and broke both his legs so he would have an excuse to stay home. Best thing about this movie. I rode the FJR both to and from the theater on my local back roads. There were a few...

    "A Story Worth Living"

Awful, wasted money and time. They were inspired by Long Way Round but failed in every way to understand why LWR worked so well.

    Is FJR a good commuter?

Yea, Boston is it's own brand of crazy.

    Is FJR a good commuter?

Fred, the long way here is just more highways and more traffic. We aren't blessed with the long way that you enjoy. That said, even our short way beats yours in the winter.

Looking at getting an FJR - one concern

I'd go back in, tell them that it has bad headshake and needs serious work done to the head bearings, and that they need to take $1000 off the price. Take it home, swap the tire and ride happy.

Looking at getting an FJR - one concern

I see the "Do a search" a-holes are at it again. Someone putting a gun you your head still and forcing you to open and read threads? Life must suck.

    Smokers (BBQ - not grilling)

Just don't put it in your top box, with the side bags on, or you'll exceed the weight limit of that flimsey *** subframe.

    Is FJR a good commuter?

That's it, I sent you a PM. I bet I could throw a rock from my front porch and hit your house. TEXpress? What rock have you been living under? You know, the new pay lanes, like the ones between 75 and 35 on 635? Won't do you much good, but if you have their app and ride a motorcycle or are 2+...

Maybe pan fry them real quick at the end? Worth trying on at least one right?

    Vertically Challenged on the FJR?

For all those who say you need to flat foot your bike...nope. Ride what you want, adapt and overcome.

    Is FJR a good commuter?

My coworker says he knows when I've arrived at work by the sound of velcro and zippers. The counter guy at McDonalds knows my breakfast order based on the one gloved motorcycle man.
