    GPS Lifespan?

Might want to rethink that on the 2720. I have 2. The second I picked up a year or so ago refurbed (1 year Garmin warranty) for about $120. It came just like a new unit. My 1st one I did have repaired once. The screen started 'peeling'. They replaced the entire display, replaced a couple of...

Arai Corsair V after 2000 miles

OK I admit it - I am generally biased toward Arai lids. My previous helmet was the Quantum 1. It served me well for many years until its untimely demise a couple of months ago - I was rear ended, landed on my head but the fiberglass shell took a pretty severe whack. Athough outwardly, except for...

Putting New Life Into Old Boots

I didn't realize this was news to anyone  doesn't everyone do this? I purchased a pair of Bates boots at Americade in '94 that I absolutely loved. They were the most comfortable boot I ever had. Lucky for me their was a shoemaker right next door to my office. Over the years he...

Although I agree with much of what you say El toro, I haven't had any problems whatsoever with the FJR & Condor.

    4000 Mile Trip...Seeking Recommendations

While I agree with many of the previous posters - change that rear puppy before you leave, don't carry too many clothes (I still overpack after years of LD riding), I do wash clothes in a sink at the end of the day and after wringing them out lay them over lampshades to dry - there are a couple...

    Vetter Magic Seat Board

Like many others here I have ridden a pretty wide variety of bikes with comfy & not so comfy butt holders. The fjr is the only bike I have had a custom seat made for - a Russell Day Long. Without question it is the most comfortable I have ever spent 12 hour riding days on. I can see where that...

    Considering..

Hi Dak I sold my '03 wing to buy my '08 fjr. I average about 20k miles a year an do mostly LD riding. The fjr is, as expected, a lot more fun in the twisties :) I did get the Russell Day Long for the feej - I was pretty satisfied with the wing's seat. They are definitely 2 different bikes...

Premier Cycle Accessories - thumbs up!

After getting my fjr back from the fjr hospital I discovered 1 additional damaged item that her insurance adjuster didn't pick up. The helmet lock that I purchased with my top case mounting plate from Premier was bent forward completely. It was toast. Last night I visited Premier's website to...

Guess I get to join the Crash Club too

I don't know Airboss, 3 weeks ago after my membership was confirmed, I was told the club was closed to new members. . . Sorry to hear about the collar bone but you apparently met a real mensch in the tow driver. Get well soon!
