Again, what pressures are your tires set at? Installing a passenger and riding faster is not a solution for poor handling.

You say tires are inflated properly. What pressures are they? It's widely accepted the FJR handles way better with 40F/42R. Stock recommendation of 36 makes for sluggish handling as you describe.

No special kit needed. You can get everything at an auto parts store. This video explains how.

As they say... Been there, done that. Push them into a piece of cardboard to protect the threads, give them a shot of brake cleaner, paint and let sit in the sun for a couple of hours for best results.
