If you got the hydration idea from me it's because I got it from looking at the fancy, read more costly set ups. But hey it works. (y)

    KN-148 vs KN-204 Oil filters

Reading this thread made me laugh. Amazing how silly over analysis sounds. But I'm convinced now that running a smaller oil filter will increase performance by .000000079%. I'm all in!

    Unusual Tire Wear

You don't need a complete fork overhaul. Just a change to fresh fluid will do wonders. Removing, draining, flushing, filling and reinstalling them is 6 hours.

    Saddlebags

From what I understand all bags fit all models. Hopefully someone will come along and verify that. Are you looking for bags? I've got a set of City Bags here ---> https://www.fjrowners.com/threads/city-bags-for-sale.159372/?post_id=1385600#post-1385600

New Member - Geese - Question on MMOTO and aftermarket side cases for the FJR

First off, welcome aboard. Second, you might want to PM or search for posts by a member Called OldJeep. He has a nifty setup of larger cases and I think they are made by Givi. They're a top quality brand.

Techmount Stem mount--will not allow a 36mm 6 point socket to slip over it

As mentioned on the other board… I mounted one just today. Looks exactly like yours. 36mm socket no issue.

Sounds like you're going to have a great trip. 2 weeks on the road, I envy you. Yes the west coast of the U.S. is experiencing a major heat wave (although that thermometer says 102 not 112). Stay hydrated and enjoy the ride!

    TPS flashing

I think the TCS may get it's signal from the ABS sensors. Maybe remove them, clean them, and reinstall them. Should take 10 minutes, it's only 1 screw each.

    TPMS Mounting

I don't remember actually. Probably not because the aluminum was so thin. Looking at it again it's maybe 1/16 of an inch thick.

    You mean maybe TCS?

    TPMS Mounting

I lied, I only used 1 screw of the switch housing.

    TPMS Mounting

I'll post a pic later from my other laptop. Basically I took a 1 inch wide by maybe 3 inch strip of 1/8 inch thick aluminum. Drilled a hole on 1 end for the TPMS readout to mount to and 2 holes lower that line up with the right switchgear mounting screws and installed it on those. BTW this is...

    FJR1300 Speedometer

Good point. I left out that little tidbit. I also left out that I think the bike has to be in neutral to change settings.

    FJR1300 Speedometer

To enter the settings mode press and hold the MENU switch (the one on the front of the left hand control housing) for at least 2 seconds. Use the SELECT (the one on top of the housing to move up and down) to get to brightness. Push MENU again then use SELECT to get to the brightness you want...
