    FJR1300 Speedometer

Check the owners manual, I believe there is a brightness setting. Maybe it needs to be cranked up.

    are you a moto camper?

It's the Extra long/extra wide. I originally bought the smaller one but after a couple of practice runs on the living room floor, I didn't like being close to the edges. I found my hand hanging off the side or my pillow (Nemo) sometimes drooping off the side. The extra 4 inches wide was worth...

    are you a moto camper?

Pictured is my camp gear for a week long trip. I don't put emphasis on light weight but on packable size and waterproof. My tent is Gonex 9X7. I like enough room to bring my gear in from the elements. And the poles are clip on not pushed thru sleeves in the fabric, 5 minute setup, literally...

Parts For Sale City Bags For Sale

Up for sale is one pair of Yamaha City Bags. I bought these last year thinking they'd be great to have on the bike for short around town trips. Turns out I don't take many of those trips so it's more of a PITA switching bags than it's worth. They have been painted a gloss black and have...

    gear neutral display on lcd

It's still an electronic contact. So electronics/contact cleaner will work better than WD40. Right tool for the right job theory.

    gear neutral display on lcd

WD-40 isn't really for electronics. An electronics cleaner spray would have been a better choice.

    iPhone Routing Apps

Yes. There are selections to avoid tolls, ferries, highways, etc. You can also select most curvy, least curvy, least elevation ascent, Etc. You can also drop pins (waypoints I think) all along the route. And you can build your own user specified route.

Does anyone ride between 6-7k rpm's?

So why did you nu-uh tschutter? I'm confused because you basically said the same thing he said.

Does anyone ride between 6-7k rpm's?

Keep in mind the FJR brakes are linked so you are actuating part of the front brakes while trail braking.

Does anyone ride between 6-7k rpm's?

The bike does know whether you're rolling off or hitting the brakes. There will be much more nose dive using the brakes entering a turn as opposed to rolling off. In a higher RPM there is minimal need for using your brakes in the twisties. Read about The Pace. You can just roll on and off...

nu-uh? You disagreeing with his statement? How do you ride the twistes then?

Does anyone ride between 6-7k rpm's?

Here's a belief and not an engineering principle.... get on your bike, take a ride and enjoy the thrill of motorcycling without worrying about engine wear if you exceed 2000 RPM. ;)

Do you prefer riding jeans, or textile?

Wasn't you in the mesh shirt I saw. On closer look it did seem to have some armor. Hopefully he'll never go down to find out.

Parts Wanted WTB foot peg hydration kit

If you're not dead set on having one of Gerauld's set ups, you can make your own. I bought a half gallon triple insulated steel bottle (which came with a few different tops and hoses), and a 1/2 gallon insulated carrier. I attached a hose and bite valve from Platypus (maybe Camelback) I think...

Without an emoji I didn't know you were joking. I'm surprised the rev limiter didn't kick in at redline.

What yellow light came on? There is no shift light that I know of and what indicator light is related to "the sweet spot"? As for riding between 6-7K RPM it' depends on the situation. If I'm just commuting or out for a leisurely ride I'll spend most of my time between 3-4K. Riding hard in...
