Do you prefer riding jeans, or textile?

That's OK. I'd rather sweat than bleed. It's hard to get the screams out of my mind of a tough guy who was getting his skin scrubbed in the ER after a slide in T-shirt. I've also seen videos of an FJR newbie who rides in a mesh shirt and fingerless gloves. Why even bother?

Sold FJR 07 Wheels For Sale

Oh so tempting. But I have to retract my interest. They're not compatible with my '015. Guess I'll have to powder coat mine silver.

Damn that's a lot of coin for pants that you have to buy the padding separately. At that price they shouldn't fade so fast either.

The link takes you to a company website. Which pants in particular are you referring to?

    Road Noise

Sometimes I think guys are concentrating on the bike more than the ride. It's a bike. Riding a motorcycle includes sights and sounds that are all part of the visceral stimulus of riding. Too much wind noise, too much heat, ride is too stiff, seat is not perfect, windshield makes buffeting...

    ABS Issue

If you've got ACF-50 lying around squirt that on the sensor. It has penetrating/creeping properties that will actually get in there and dissolve some corrosion making it easier to remove. The stuff is the bomb. It's used in aircraft applications and really is fantastic. If you don't like...

The best year for the FJR1300

While there are some who look for the pill bottle at the slightest discomfort, I'm with you, without meds is preferable. And yes there are meds for butt pain, Tylenol, aspirin, Aleve, etc. I will admit if 'm looking at a 400 mile day in the saddle, I will take Aleve before the ride, it's an...

The best year for the FJR1300

When you have something that ails you you take meds for it. If you have a seat that bothers you, you change it. Or you can do nothing and whine about it.

    Cracks in the Aft SubFrame

Is that support along the inside of the muffler going to interfere with the pumpkin when it travels up and down with the suspension?

Considering a garage queen, pros and cons.

That bracket looks be where a passenger back rest would be inserted.

There's potential. I've seen those horses get dug up and beaten again. 😄

is there a better brake lever?

Generally the rear brake is used in trail braking. If you're using the front brakes then all you are doing is late braking. And it gets "complicated" with linked brakes. If you are turning in and leaning over and use that front lever you're inviting a low side.

    My First NEW FJR!

I'll be curious if they ever find the issue. I've always been leery of old bikes with low miles.

    My First NEW FJR!

Congrats and many happy miles! I don't want to sidetrack the thread but curious about the 2009... how low are the miles and what issues were you having?
