Agree with the already suggestions in trying a custom seat. I had a Russell on my 06 and it was absolutely amazing. It won't be the best looking seat but you're looking for comfort and it definitely fits that bill. If you're set on a BMW touring bike, try the 1200RT before the K1600. I think...

See, I was thinking the opposite in that the 47 looked better on the FJR because it has some lines to it like the side cases. The 46 is more rounded off. That's why they make both the 46 and 47. We all like different things. It's all good!

My new/used 16' A bike has the Givi SR357 mount on it but no box. Guess I'll be buying a Givi box. Thinking of the V47, looks to be the perfect size. Anyone have a Givi on their 16 model with the blue lid? Does it match bike paint?

Well boyz....I purchased a slightly used 2016 A model yesterday and rode it home today from Minnesota. It had 1260 miles on it when I hopped on it and rode off. During my 8 hour trip home today I realized I'm liking the additional 6th gear and the new assist-slipper clutch. AWESOME!!!!!!!

I've struggled with that as well but like said before once you have one you wonder how you made it without. My preference is the OEM box, just goes with the bike IMO. But others look decent as well. You can never have enough storage space.

Thanks for the review. I've been trying to decide on getting a 15ES or spend the extra for the 16. Sounds like I should really consider the 16. I think this will be my last bike purchase or at least I'm telling myself that so maybe I should just blow it out and do the 16ES. $4K difference...
