    2008 FJR in Kernville, CA

Just an accident, folks - nothing to see here. Move along.

TESTING, TESTING.... 1-2-3-4... Yep, forum seems to be working. This test has been performed courtesy of my glitch computer, I guess.

Need some pics of "Pinks" and "Chomp-da-dogs" RTEs

LOL - "Greg had nothing to do with that" Thanks for sharing!

Need some pics of "Pinks" and "Chomp-da-dogs" RTEs

I'd say "What happens at Pinks, stays at Pinks" but the reality is we were just having too much fun to take any pictures. It wasn't until we were pulling out of the parking lot that we were like, "We didn't take a single picture!!" I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's pics :-)

    The Dalton and FJRs

Haven't ridden up the Dalton, but the hubby and I rode FJRs up the Dempster to Inuvik. Depending on what questions you're looking to have answered, I may be of some help.

    Kate's UCCC Ride

Awesome! Thanks for posting Tony - It's going to be fun to follow her ride!

Something Happened On The Way To Dover

I don't think this was "a fail of momentary circumstances"; I think your only problem is thinking of this as a failure at all. No, you didn't finish. But you accurately identified that your heart and mind weren't in it, not because you were angry or over-tired or poorly executing your plan or...

    Multi-Regional Help and Advice Needed

I can't really help you with any of that regional info, but... Mother of Pearl, man! That's one hell of an epic trip! Nothing beats the road for putting things I perspective IMHO, so I hope you get all the therapy/helmet time/brain drain you're looking for, and safely!!

Allow me to brag a moment...

Fantastic! It's good to see the rally wives coming into their own Seriously, that's really awesome - congrats to Walt from me & Mike!

California Only! Pass the Word on Lane Splitting

I'd be down for a few of those. Of course the type who deliberately give us "the pinch" won't give a sh*t, but maybe a few of the merely ignorant can be reached.

SoCal people - Questions about crossing into Mexico

I've crossed into Mexico quite a few times, including through Otay Mesa on a B2B Insanity. On the B2B it was about 1am, so I sailed through in both directions. It's been a few years, but for my timed receipt I had to go to a Pemex just a short distance from the border crossing. The station...

    Upgrading to a Valentine 1?

Andrew: I don't know your name on the forum or I'd PM you, but thanks for the goodies! That was really cool - my V1 will enjoy it's new home

    Bottom End Pressurization Problem

This is what has me scratching my head. It's not just a dribble or wicking up the wires, it's a pressurized spray (but only sometimes). The stator wasn't recently replaced, but it was less than a year old. It's not leaking out of the top of the engine, unless you meant by way of the breather...

    Bottom End Pressurization Problem

Boy, I leave town for a few days to get a hot dog and this post becomes downright lively! Colin, I tried sealing the grommet without success. It's weird to me that when it's leaking, it's doing so with enough vigor to reach my saddlebag and yet it's not leaking all the time. You'd think if...

    Bottom End Pressurization Problem

"Different"? "Interesting"? I hope you don't mean that in a "Hot dogs are good, just don't ask what's in 'em" kinda way... LOL I've never been - come to think of it, I should have stopped in on vacation - but I've talked to Rick quite a bit and I've always found their stuff to be much...

    Bottom End Pressurization Problem

No on the breather hose - I actually unplugged it on the road to check for blockages to see if that might be causing the pressure build-up. No blockages, plugged it back in, no change in the symptoms. Exhaust is already off, (she's naked and ashamed, waiting for the "quick" engine swap...) no...

    Bottom End Pressurization Problem

No, not THAT kind of bottom end pressurization - let's just get that out of the way right now. OK, that was the entirety of the laughing I'm going to do for this post, so let's get down to business. On my post-IBR vacation my 190k mile FJR developed an intermittent problem where my left leg...

    John Ryan Stickers

I got my stickers Friday, and they turned out great! Someone had suggested just finding the little mass-produced helmet stickers with a similar saying, but these are much higher quality. Nicely done! My vote would be for a JWJR sticker, but that's because I was lucky enough to get my hands on...

    Upgrading to a Valentine 1?

I don't know how I missed the entire second page before my last post, but this conversation has certainly gotten fun! I am not much of a speeder - I was actually complimented by one of the Big People after this year's IBR that every time they checked, I was running consistently +6mph, which...
