Happy Birth Day, Wendy (Bionic Pelvis)!

Thanks y'all! I haven't had a lot of time to visit lately - we've done more than twice the business this year than during the same time last year, which is awesome and exhausting. I spent my birthday working a 14-hour day (par-tay!) but we got some good riding in earlier in the week & I'll be...

Rent a Harley for Vegas to Grand Canyon

The north rim is my favorite. It's a cooler ride (temp wise) and you will go through some spectacular scenery on the way. There is less "stuff" (fewer tours, shops, restaurants, etc) but there is also usually less tourist traffic than on the south rim. There is a beautiful lodge right on the...

    IBR Checkpoint Request

What Skooter said - I know a lot of people will be at the checkpoint & I'm sure that many would be willing to chuck some oil(in exchange for a beautiful Blitz, no less ;) ), but it really takes a load off when I KNOW that I don't need to sweat it. When we're talking about my mental...

    IBR Checkpoint Request

Yep, I just got the thumbs up from Lisa this morning that the info is as public as it's ever going to be. (And those locales are accurate.)

    IBR Checkpoint Request

Anyone out there planning on hitting the Florida IBR checkpoint? Besides competitors, of course ;) I'll be shipping my goodies to the hotel for an oil change and I just need someone to properly dispose of my used oil for me. There is a very nice, fairly compact 6-quart Blitz oil drain pan...

Does anyone in SoCal have a Russell seat?

God willing, both bikes should be in Ontario at the IBR finish on July 1-2. Then you only have to ride half as far for 10 times the excitement

Does anyone in SoCal have a Russell seat?

Alright, here are a few different views of the shorter seat: This one is much shallower than mine (not as much stuffin') so he doesn't have nearly as long of a reach as I do.

Does anyone in SoCal have a Russell seat?

No problem - his bike isn't here at the moment, but I'll get some pics for you in the next day or two.

Does anyone in SoCal have a Russell seat?

We're not exactly SoCal - more CenCal - but the hubby and I both have Russells. If you want to ride up to Kernville, you can see how different the two seats are side-by-side. We're both 6', but the hubby has a much shorter inseam so his seat is noticeably shorter than mine.

    IBR Tire Choice

I ran PR2s during the 09 IBR and the 10n10. I changed tires mid-rally on both, simply because the opportunity to do so was too good to pass up (in 09 there was a checkpoint very near my house, and the 10n10 had me passing right by my good buddy's shop just before the checkpoint). I was pretty...

    Hwy 155 near Lake Isabella

Are you kidding?!?! I'm ALWAYS here... ...which makes me an easy target! Sometimes I just close the door so I can get some %^&$*#! work done for a change  Seriously, I'm here 6-7 days a week. If, by the grace of God, we are actually closed, my cell number is on the front of the shop -...

    Hwy 155 near Lake Isabella

We were up on Greenhorn last Sunday & most of the snow was melted or melting (as in, still actively wetting up the road) but we just had a decent sized snow storm last week. They only plow from Wofford Heights to Greenhorn summit, so it could be sketchy west of the summit. Most likely will be...

    Bionic Pelvis in the News

Thanks all! It's just a small town paper, but word travels fast thanks to that newfangled internet thingy (Especially down here in Floriduh  ) I think the author did a nice job of presenting the sport in a positive light, so hopefully it's a good thing in light of all the...

    2011 Ibr Who'S In

I dunno, MY tire change went pretty quick :P I suppose when you're only concerned about one or two, it makes all the difference in the world (particularly when it is 1800 degrees in a dank basement). I ran PR2s in 09 and swapped 'em both in Santa Ana. I probably could have done the whole...

    Dash/Instrument Panel Backlight Replacement

Nice write up! I felt certain the info was out there somewhere, I just wasn't coming up with the right combination of search terms. Now I feel like less of a jerk for thinking about taking pictures of the job but not actually doing it.
