    Bought a Penske Rear Shock

I have the same shock. I'm 200 lbs and have both the 850 and 900 lb springs. The 850 lb spring works best for me, but now the shock is probably 10 years old with 85000 miles on it, and still good with no leak.

Yellow Check Engine light turned and off then on and now off?

This may be the first symptom of the MAP sensor tubing starting to plug up with oily goop. If in the next few months the bike becomes difficult to start, idles poorly and runs badly until hot, then that would be the problem. The check engine light is then on intermittently and can sometimes be...

Need a front wheel in Canada!

If you were happy with the balance of the new Michelin you got in Brandon before the weights flew off, then you should be happy with a good rebalance. I had a damaged front rim long ago on my '08, but couldn't live with how it looked, so I had it straightened.

My '08 never had a paint dot on it either. I put a new green dot one in at 91000 miles.

    2007 FJR of Norway

The Atlantic Road was definitely on our list of interesting things to see, but time was limited and we never made it north of Alesund. Hope there is a next time!

    2007 FJR of Norway

Norway! Beautiful country and much bigger than I expected. My wife and I toured Oslo, Bergen, Geiranger, Trollstigen, and Alesund by car in 2019 during the July heat wave. I would go back again to ride it! We met some Germans who spend their vacations every year riding their bikes in Norway. To...

    I'm still around...

Yes, I know. Me too. SEOR and EOM is always on my radar, only border closures stopping me since I retired. Had a nice ride a few days after the border opened Nov. 11 thru 16 riding NY, PA, VA, WV, and OH.

Glad it worked for you! I think the the only reason I had the problem twice, as well, was incomplete cleaning of the vacuum tubes the first time. I was more thorough the second time (more WD40).

I had the yellow light come on as well when I had the map sensor tubing issue. I would just stop, restart, then the light would be off and the bike would run better, sometimes. I had to ride two days home with that issue, from Virginia to Ontario in November, several years back. Once the engine...

John In your original post you mentioned that your cold idle was faster than your warm idle, so no problem there. I would not mess with the idle setting, until everything else is sorted out. DAMHIK

Some carb cleaners can be very bad for rubber, so choose wisely if you do.
