    Handlebar shake

I must be doing something wrong then, cause the tire brand makes no difference. Once any tire gets well worn there is always a deceleration wobble under 45-50mph on my bike and other bikes I've had. No problem with hands on the bars though. The more worn the tire gets, the more scalloped the...

    FJRF008: Cam Chain Tensioner Survey

A – the model year of your FJR - 2008 B – the number of miles on your FJR when the cam chain noise became apparent Not sure, maybe 5000 miles ago, was never loud. C – what action did you take, i.e., replace the CCT yourself, have the dealer do the work, ignore the noise, etc., and at what...

    FJR in curves and twisties..?

You will really feel the weight when loaded up and riding tight switchbacks. Otherwise you can have a lot of fun in the twisties.

Plug and Play STS Auto Turn Cancel 2nd Gen

It will work on any Gen, however the custom plug at the end is setup for Gen2. To make it work on a Gen3 you probably will need to cut the custom end off and make your own connections. There is another forum with a bit more information.

    Handlebar shake

Has this ever NOT happened to anyone here? My new RS3 tire with 4000 miles on it does the deceleration wobble now, but it is about 80% worn now.

Avon Storm 3D XM - Mileage Report in last post (Edit)

Some more numbers for those who care. 6501 miles on rear at well past the wear bars. Centre rubber is starting to peel off in thin slices, close to cords I imagine. 8818 miles on front, very close to wear bars and now handles poorly. I installed them myself, so I won't be going for a warranty...

    CFR 2017 Atigonish Nova Scotia August 25 - 27

I'm an older ******* now. As the date nears I'll figure out if I can make it. It's probably a good time of year to go weather-wise. Thanks for posting those pics MEM.

    Vibration While Letting Clutch Out

That makes my theory wrong. So it may not be the bearing.

    Vibration While Letting Clutch Out

I still think it's the bearing. You can do the clutch bleed first, I doubt it will make a difference, but at least it's cheap and fast and you may be due anyway. An oil change can't fix your problem.

    Vibration While Letting Clutch Out

The only way to determine is by the symptoms you describe. That bearing is always inactive except when the clutch is activated. A worn out clutch bearing would cause the pressure plate to vibrate when the clutch is released. The bearing itself is probably a cheap low speed bearing that you could...

    Vibration While Letting Clutch Out

My first guess would be a worn out clutch bearing - Part 15 in the diagram.

"I want you to enjoy your bike."

I've followed till now with not a single post, because these situations are so difficult for me to process. Your wife can never be replaced, you can only remember with fondness and pride. Going forward, I hope you adapt well to enjoy life's other pleasures.

    Broken Penske Clevis.

^^^ Yes, but there will still be a gap, maybe 0.001 to 0.003" to allow for production tolerances and ease of fitment. At least there won't be the scary gap we have now.
