Good choice of route. Think of it as 6 discrete rides - each one a tank of gas long - mentally this is easier to process than thinking about 1000 miles. Your speed will allow you to be pretty loose at stops. Water is your friend even a few days before you start.

the 20s has speakers as well as the headphone jack. It is one of the reasons I upgraded from the 10. If I am riding around town at lower speeds the speakers are fine. Longer trips and the highway the earbuds provide the best sound without having to max out the volume on the Sena and the phone.

Thank you Fred you saved me a lot of money. I have a 550 but I was hearing the sirens song of the 590 or 595. In the end the 550 has never let me down. I will stay with what I know.

If you want a higher cruise set limit you can buy an ECU from a 2014 or newer and that will resolve your 82mph limit. It is my understanding that it is a plug and play. Search on the forum there is a thread.

If you go with a rescue charger make sure the output on the USB is greater than 2.1 amps. That will make your phone charging faster and your larger devices like ipads won't throw a fit and say "not and approved accessory" or "not charging".

Could it be related to low spring force? Have you unwound the return springs? I figure it is binding or spring force is low. Sounds like you have looked at binding already.
