    My New 3P6-W4612-01-00

Remind me, does the entire assembly as pictured swap directly, or does one need to change the shaft to the appropriate gen1 part to make up the shorter wheelbase change?

How to (not) load your 2013 FJR onto a Sailboat

If you have to apologize for being lazy when posting the thread, you probably shouldn't post the thread. Many times duplicate thread closed.

    Gen 1 Valve guides

PDF file link No. I thought if I posted (which I have permission to do) all the registered users would be able to see it, but guests wouldn't. Limited distribution as it were. Since that didn't work out I posted the file to server, link above. Happy reading to all.

    Gen 1 Valve guides

Sorry Iggy, I'm going to go out on a limb here and call you wrong. ;) Richard Carroll replaced his stock valves and guides with Kibblewhite bronze guides and SS/stellite valves. He wrote a very nice PDF on the parts and process. This was all before Yamaha had a permanent solution. His...

    King of the Motos

Uhm... no. Jimmy Lewis was the organizer of King of the Motos (in conjunction with the King of the Hammers event), and this was it's first year.

The best man I ever knew, gone in his prime

Tonight I mourn the death of a close personal friend. Dennis Stauffer of Asheville, NC was killed yesterday in a car accident. Two other cars collided when one tried to turn left, and the left turner ricocheted into Dennis's car head on. His 1 year old son was also in the car, but survived...

    Rider down - Grumpy

:( Get better Jim. You know those roads, and ride, as well as anyone I've ever met. First thoughts are for your well being, obviously. After you're in better shape, it would be enlightening to hear more about what happened. It's sad to hear of a top-notch rider and top-notch guy in this...

    Weak cranking 03

I had to replace my starter motor. A new battery would make things seem OK for a while, but eventually would start to crank slow again. It was only after the new motor was in I realize exactly how much slow the old starter was spinning.

    Broken headlight lens

I have removed and replaced the lens on my FJR housing during my HID retrofit. If you can find a good condition lens, it is possible. You can't buy just the lens, as other mentioned. You may get lucky and find another member who, like myself, damaged the rear mounting points and replaced the...

What gives? why wont my FJR stay straight

Tightening the axles and pinch-bolts in improper sequence can cause this problem. A free thing to check is to loosen and re-torque both axles in the proper sequence. Worked for my bike. It tracks straight with no input for miles and miles.

Alternative to the Saddle Bag Lock

Looks like the bag is sitting in the passenger seat of a truck (or car maybe) and that's what the cup holders are attached to.

Free GPX editor software, based on Google Earth

Cat's been out of the bag for the better part of a year, but this forum isn't the place for it. You can browse the site that has the software available, and it should be pretty obvious.

No. I helped with the hardware it's intended to be used with.

Free GPX editor software, based on Google Earth

So, here's a new GPX/KML editing software that's available for free. It's based in part on Google Earth, so you can see the GPX files overlaid on a few different backgrounds, and get elevation views etc. There are some good tools to edit the tracks, reduce the file size, and manage multiple...

    Most humiliating pix...

Uhm... No. It's tied to the 11000 lbs vertical machining center, which is attached to the 'computer workstation' on wheels
