    Smokers (BBQ - not grilling)

The bird (19lbs) is on brine tonight. I was reading the Meatheads, and they simply recommend dry brining, but I did the brine solution with a bit of brown sugar, rosemary Thyme, garlic and stuff. A 19 lb bird so need to start early. I may end up in the Komodo instead of the electric since I...

North American Wild Card Moto-Tag Game

Thanks for thinking of me on my birthday Fred! I'd look forward to some Whistle-Pig, but my budget is closer to Woodford's. Good tag.

    Smokers (BBQ - not grilling)

I'm planning on doing a 15 lb fresh turkey from a local farm this year, so the comments above are welcomed. Anyone have a favorite brine recipe? I have a new electric smoker so I can set the temperature and forget it, and give the Komodo a rest. Have not used electric before, so hopefully it...

    Quiet Forum These Days?

Enjoyed reading this truthful post from a "FNG". My post count here is something over 3600, which I guarantee is less than half of my actual post count if Off-Topic, NEPERT and other sub-forums that "don't count" are included. We'll never know. This is true of the legends on this board as...

    Quiet Forum These Days?

It would help if I didn't get a warning message on a routine basis that "this forum does not support that exetension for images", when attaching a jpg from Imgur. We no longer have Photobucket, and it just isn't worth the hassle of trying more than twice. If the forum doesn't want my image the...

    stiff brake pedal

Rather than rely on the Mit-e-Vac for bleeding, why not try the old fashioned way of opening the bleed valve and pressing the pedal? Go in the correct sequence and it will work.

    Petey

I'm shocked to hear of this, and knew nothing of an accident at the EOM. I missed it this year and was looking forward to the posts of good times. I'm deeply saddened and saw Petey in both eastern and western gatherings. A talented and dedicated rider, and a deceptively quiet nice guy.

That color works for 2006, 2012 and 2016. The 2015 was asphalt gray.

What did you do to your FJR today?

I haven't rode to work in a long time, but I did ride today. Some nice new asphalt on Hunter Road on my route added to the fun. A nice steep twisty road that works a lot better with new pavement.

    Penalized ! For owning a Spyder !

Geico managed to put the house, cars, motorcycle and other stuff under a subcontracted umbrella at a decent rate. Give it a try. Maybe Harford will lose more than they bargained for.

    FS - Gen1 2005 misc. parts

I don't need it, but if you have the rear ABS block that would be a high demand part.

What's the Weather like where YOU are today?

Good luck with Irma. Get out out of the way of this one! Good luck.

    HF tire help needed.

I was changing this Bridgestone T30 GT 155/90 tire today, and bent the HF stand and pulled out a floor anchor. Stiff stubborn tires! A 5/8 or 3/4 rod will fit through the bearings. I keep the reinforcing brace because, although it gets in the way, it avoids getting things off-center.

What did you do to your FJR today?

I rode it about 250 miles yesterday...problem was about 120 miles from home I poked my finger and drew blood on steel belt shards coming out of the tire. Somehow, I made it home. I swapped this well used T-30 GT 155/90 for a good PR4 155/90 and bent my HF tire changing rack and pulled out a...

    c pap and camping

Can you let us know what brand of machine he is using? The setup depends on the electrical requirement of the specific machine. Philips Respironics runs on 12 volt power, and Resmed on 24 volt DC power. There are relatively lightweight and efficient li-ion batteries that will provide up to 2...
