Very cool. I wish it happened more often.

I've touched down on my left side bars a couple of times, never the right side. So far, so good. The interesting thing is that I still have about 1/2 to 3/8 inch of chicken strips on my tires.

I pretty much agree with wfooshee. Don't bring the tripod. Bring only the 70-200. I'd probably shoot as close to f4 as I could. I would also pick a spot and pre focus.

The Walla Walla gang, (most of them) headed out Saturday morning for a leisurely trip to Timothy Lake and the Dalles dams. The plan was to ride from Walla Walla to McMinnville, pick up Timothy Lake on the way and hit the Dalles on Sunday. It took us just about 400 miles to get to McMinnville...

Damn! This is unnerving news. I am glad they will, (hopefully) be fine. I have to say that the prospect of multiple surgeries means a long road to full recovery. I've had a couple of close calls with deer and for me, there is just no way to figure out when they will jump in front of you...
