    Mesh Pant Recommendations

I'm a fan of the Fieldsheer Titanium Air Pants as well. I have the first version that I got at a closeout price from Brockton Cycle. I believe they recently only had XXL. Not quite as well made as the others, but flow enough air, are light enough, and for the price, can't be beat. +1 on New...

NWS! So, how was your breakfast?

LOL! I was just going to mention that "baby bird". Nothing like a youngster with Attitude! :D

    Happy Birthday Radman!!

I'm later. Happy Bday Rad, hope you had a blast! - a fellow June baby. Except "Rad" and "Baby" just don't go together... ;)

    Trouble getting Panels A,B,C,D off

Yup, these mounting "tabs" are a pain in the ***, no question. I just finished wrestling with all the connectors on my '05 when I removed the fairing to check the motor mounts. My favorite is the non-philips center pin connector. You push in, and push in some more, with no tactil feedback...

    Extended Warranty

Re. the YES warranty and written confirmation. Its a little different if you happen to be transfering the warranty from the original/previous owner. In that case, the only "confirmation" I got was the printout from the transfering dealer. I called Yamaha to inquire about my paperwork, and...

    Strange sounds after first service

Thanks for the info. Always good to have this kind of ammunition in case one has to battle the stealer service dept. ;)

    New Corbin Dual Seat

Pappy, Glad to hear they took care of you. Probably best I'm not tempted now, so I don't rush into something. ;)

    New Corbin Dual Seat

Pappy, I might be interested - do you have any pics? It is definitely higher and farther back than stock, correct?

    Strange sounds after first service

Hey Crizyal, Sorry to be nosy, but I'm curious what your dealer charged you for that work, in particular to check the shaft splines. Not sure I want to tackle that on my '05 myself.

    New Corbin Dual Seat

Wait a sec - are you saying the standard Corbin raises you 1 inch from stock, but the Close version drops you an inch from stock, or an inch from the standard Corbin? I've got a 32'' inseam, and my legs get cramped after an hour or so - I need an extra inch or so in height at my age. ;)

Lo RPM Roll-On Odd Engine Vibration

Toe, Good tip. The previous owner did install sliders - I'll check 'em. Thanks!

Lo RPM Roll-On Odd Engine Vibration

A question for you longer term owners: I notice an odd engine vibration when rolling on starting from less than 3k rpm with 1/2 or greater throttle. I know, the quick answer is don't roll-on until over 3k, and I usually don't. I'm just wondering if something might be wrong? It doesn't last...

    I feel so defeated.

And we have to commend Spridal on his restraint, not mentioning what this group of rampaging lunatics has done to his thread. Isn't it terrible? I haven't laughed so hard for days. :D

    I got laid...

Frank, Best of luck with the move; may the road ahead be smooth with no potholes! ;) Hope the job situation shakes out in your favor as well, if it hasn't already.

    Rear Shock Making Noise

Update - Well, as quickly as it came, it also went. After another 30 odd mile ride today (all I had time for after daughter's 2 softball games, dammit!) the noise is gone. Back to the way it was, smooth and silent. I'll be keeping an eye on this - an more noise and a Service Trip will be on...

    Teerex bites the dust

Stef, Something very sad about seeing an FJR with the rubber side facing up... :( Still, after that sad event, we're all glad you are sharing the pictures and tales of recovery with us!
